I'm sorry you feel that way, Why did you climb over a barrier? That has little to anything to do with the faide slide. Climbing over a wall and sliding is a mantle boost
You actually don't have to stand back up while crouched, if you just buffer the sprint input before going for the slide jump you will sprint out of crouch
A very interesting option if i'm completely honest, only reason i left splitgate in the first place was because movement was somewhat irrelevant from my experience. But it's definitely not out of the question, you never know!

I tried my best to time the inputs on screen with what i was actually doing, because i personally don't see much use in keyboard overlays compared to this. Great to hear the feedback and hope you're doing well :D

So... C + un-C + 3 + shift + ctrl + space/scroll + airstrafe + 1/2(weapon)
very close! don't bother uncrouching, because pressing shift does that for you anyway

I use caps lock for hold crouch, and c for toggle

You can instant slide jump after sprinting for half a second which brakes down why this is possible.
