- Showing an easy method of removing the retaining clip from the window winder handle and also replacing the handle onto the door. Be careful when removing the clip as it took me two days to find it when I first tried this......... If you find this video helpful it would be appreciated if you would consider subscribing, thank you.
Most useful 4 year old RUclips video EVER! I have been shuffling in the car every time trying to find the winder whenever I need to open or close the window for months😂😂. Thank you very much.

Thanks mate, pleased that it helped you.
Thank you very much sir, this helped to put it back. You are absolutely right about losing the retainer clip 😂, had to buy a pack.
They are certainly slippery.
Thank you! You helped me out making this way easy. I did it years ago but couldn't remember how I went about it.
Very pleased that the video helped you.
The old, 'mini' I use to have had the handle held on with a Philips screw, the olden days were good LOL
Much less chance of a screw taking your eye out.
2022 and your upload helped me a lot. Thanks a million. Have a blessed safe productive stress free day. One love from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago ❤ 🇹🇹.
Thank you for your comment, all the best from Queensland, Australia.

Wow !😊
Thank you mate saved my ass with this vid
احسنت عمل رائع
My 1997 corolla has a plastic stepped washer behind the handle which hides the circlip out of sight, your handle in the video doesnt have one?
Also, i always get inside the car & close the door to prevent losing the clip.
I use a torch/light & a magnet in my hand to help find the clip as it will be somewhere inside the car.
Look under the front seats as thats a common place where they hide!!! 😊😊
Those are some top ideas, especially the one about closing the door. I know that there are numerous tricks to get the clip off and on, and I nearly laughed my socks off when a mechanic called it a Jesus clip. I am assuming that you are not Crompton the racing driver.
@@johnvienta7622 no i'm not,but ppl on fb think i am even though theres a statement on my fb that says i'm not.
Some ppl call them "shit" clips too,i used to work in the automotive trade & would regularly yell shiiiiit when the clip flies off 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've also seen a video on ut that shows you how to remove the handle circlip using a
wire garbage bag tie & another using a clean rag or a sock, they both work amazingly well too 😉
All good mate..........@@neilcrompton3488
Have personally seen one fly 40m.. Jesus indeed
True indeed.
good
Just buy the proper clip removal tool while your at the auto shop, they are $7.
Not sure where you are, but in lot of Australia the 'local' auto shop is a several hours away, and I work on the principle that when you need a tool you can never find it in the shed.
@@johnvienta7622 I live in Australia. I was referring to the guy in the video, who was already at the Auto store buying replacement clips and buying substitute hooks and picks, when the correct tool is right there and cheaper.
@@shaungibson2033 ... I am the guy in the video............... The hook and pick set belonged to my dad and I keep a pack of clips because I know how easy they are to lose.
You may do, but you clearly suggest in your video for others to go to the Auto store for both of these items. I’m suggesting they buy the proper tool whilst they are there.
@@shaungibson2033 , ahhh, right. I see what you are getting at. The point I was making was that the hook and pick set are extremely handy for all sorts of things. I used one to undo a knot in the drawstring of a pair of shorts.
nice but you speak over.....too much talking
Personally I prefer to watch videos where full information is given, and I also like the sound of my own voice..... Hope that it helped you anyway.
@@johnvienta7622 sounds good....but you really think that your viewers also like your voice?
@@hamzagaming2435 , I don't see why not. My voice is like me, lovely.😁
too much talk..😒
Oh well, difficult to please everyone i suppose.
@@johnvienta7622 Please keep rambling in your vids. It put me in a good mood!
@@someoneinthecrowd4313 , thank you. When i say that it is a quick video it is time to make a sandwich.
You did not show how or what you really used to get the clip back on. It's tricky and difficult. No help here.
That is the beauty of it, there is no trick. You simply place the clip onto the handle and push it onto the stem. The spring clip expands to accommodate the stem and then closes when it reaches the retaining groove, which locks it into place.
@@johnvienta7622when I placed it in my cranker it was still lose and wouldnt crank
@@Narzaesthetics ... Are the splines on the inside of the handle stripped. They should marry with the raised splines on the handle to make a firm grip. I cannot see how it would be loose as the wire clip only holds it in place.
@@johnvienta7622No, they are not stripped at all, I am unsure why it stays loose and doesn't properly wind or stay in place
@@Narzaesthetics . That is a mystery. You should be able to hear and feel the clip lock into place.
Too long winded...omg
Did it help you?
