Considering that the lead singer is A) Sick and B) Not Florence Welch, this is a surprisingly good cover.
I struggle to get out of bed when I have a chest infection, and here is Abigail absolutely smashing the cover. What a band.

As a singer, I can def hear that she is sick but gosh did she pull it off, lord have mercy on her voice. I hope she gets well soon!!! She ate this up the whole band did amazing but she needs rest lol I’ve been there gws queen
They're on their way up and she doesn't want to let them down, but she's gotta look out for more than just right now. Rest those amazing pipes.
Why even bring it up? I'm sure she was self conscious about her being ill and you just stating here like it was obvious is pathetic because you only did it to get some attention. Meanwhile she's probably feeling awful now about the fact you mentioned it
@@NellyGandhella nah shes probably alright. its pretty normal, touring is hard and everyone is sick all the time, especially during winter.

The first band I thought of when I heard The Last Dinner Party was Florence & The Machine, so not terribly surprised they covered this song. Also not surprisingly they did this cover well with a nice personal spin on it too!

Actually brought me to tears, how much you can hear the love and spirit they threw into this cover!!
They continue to impress. The growth is pretty apparent. They sound more and more confident live with each push their management makes for them. Very good cover and it's obvious the love the ladies have for Florence and her Machine. They keep checking all the boxes!
You can hear they're fans of Florence with how faithful this was to the original but still with their owm sound. Solidified as my new faves for this 🤘

Wow! They totally rocked the hell out of that song. Everyone killed it, but lead vocals were amazing, I wouldn't have known she was sick if I hadn't seen everyone else's comments about it.

This popped up on my YT notifications yesterday and I usually dismiss most of them but as I like this song and hadn't heard it in years I clicked, listened and been singing the song in my head ever since.
Now today I decide to make myself watch a film for the first time in months, as backlog is getting insane, so I sit down with Sky, Netflix, Prime and Disney+ and after much umming and aahing I decide to watch 'GOTG Vol. 3' as I saw the first 2 in the cinema and been meaning to see this since it arrived on Disney+. Can you imagine my surprise in the last 10 mins. 😳😂

Well, see, that's the thing. This band is great, and she did as good a job - literally - as ANYONE could have done. Arguably, the best anyone who's not Florence has ever done. And I enjoyed it. But that's what makes Florence so incredible - no one can do what she does.
Just watched it on IPLAYER too which gave a but more coverage. Abi is full of cold and I've no idea how she managed to sing 4 songs never mind one as demanding as this.
For a moment I thought you were going to talk bad about Florence and I was ready to talk about the incredible work she does... So unique!!!

AGREED. I normally hate 9.9/10 Florence covers but these women have LEGITIMATE admiration and drive and aren't afraid to go for something. The lead is really unafraid to go for vocal choices and commit

Best band to come out of the UK 🇬🇧 in such a long time, feels very 80s/90s and of course with a modern twist, that guitar solo in Nothing Matters reminds me of a certain Brian May
Emily, the lead guitarist, was previously 'Brian May' in a Queen tribute act (among other side projects), so maybe not surprising that the guitar solo reminds you of him.

They changed the key towards the end or is it just me ? It’s a solid cover imo and fits abi s shouty delivery anyways.
You're probably right. It wouldn't be a TLDP song without a key change. Thing is they are so clever and subtle half the time you don't even notice.

I agree they are better live but that's because they were written to be played live, and then adapted for the studio. So far I've loved all the studio versions too, but I do prefer them live. @@spiroskaravalakis9358
