There are so many fishing kits out there, I think some of the best come with a "reel" of some kind like this one. It is always good to 1. know what fish are in your area, and 2. ask those who fish the area regularly what baits work for what fish and which technique/presentations seem to work best.
Chrissy very good explanation. I hadn't thought to put the lip balm in mine. I can see many applications and reasons to add it now. Thanks! Also, if I may, I usually start my line with a slip knot. I put a stop knot on the tag end to keep it from pull through. Then use tape to keep it stationary while I spool my line on. The slip knot allows the line to tighten around your reel preventing it from slipping off the swollen end of the bottle should you have a mishap when landing your fish. Hehe... Or you lock horns with one bigger with more fight then expected. Happy casting friend! Keep the videos coming. I enjoy learning with others as they expand their knowledge.
Thank you for your support! That's an excellent suggestion. I don't know why I didn't think about that. Catching a catfish on one of these things would be fun to tango with.
Once you get started making these things, you'll see opportunity everywhere. I go through the candy aisle at my local grocery store just to scope out new containers that I haven't tried.
And then when your line reach the end with that piece of tape, it´s time for the fish to escape nice´n´easy wearing a new long necklace from its mouth. Sorry, but it would be better if you make a little tiny hole on the top of the bottle, pass the line through it, and make one or 2 nots inside of it to stay in place, and then from the outside take that line and roll all around like you did. Just sayin.
I been working nearly every day since the pandemic started. Live in a rural area with limted internet. Didn't see the comment. Had to put RUclips on hold for a bit. I'll get on it. Thank's for drawing it to my attention.
My apologies for the late reply. I've been working long hours due to the pandemic and also have limited internet access. Being able to use a device like this is just another skill to add to the survival arsenal.
The spice container is a brilliant idea! One of these is definitely going in my bug-out bag.

Let me know if you catch anything!
What do you use to crimp the sinkers on the line with?
Q20 or 40 does a great job. So does Doom Flyspray.
I put some silicone or shoe goop on the inside around the lanyard paracord to waterproof the bottle
Why the pen cap with duct tape?
Ótimo vídeo e acabei de me inscrever no canal. Abraço!
Neat
I like to use hooks also.
Peanut butter will take the stickers glue off

That's a good idea. I never throw that much line out. I probably should have clarified that. Thank you, for pointing it out.
Yeah because those monster blue gills will rip line out like a mother...
Why catch a fish I'd you're not gonna eat it?
