.
So sweet. God bless you...
Lovely. With a similar purity of tone I find in Kirkby's rendition, with a bit more body. Well done.
Me sucede que después de haber escuchado la performance de Emma Kikby no me gustan las demás pero ésta la elegiría como segunda
Emma la mejor en este número, aunque hay versiones de otras sopranos que también están muy bien
Shame to the violinist.
Handel at his best. The aria emphasizes that Christ is at the “right hand of God.” What does that indicate? Well it looks as if Handel had a handle on the Gospel.
The Bible affords us the record of the fall into sin of our first parents. This was immediately followed by the promise of a Redeemer, Genesis 3:15. And true to that promise we read in Scripture that “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures”; but that is not the end of it. The Christ who died “for us” now appears in heaven “for us” Hebrews 9:24. The apostle Paul in Romans chapter 8 asks what we hear in this aria, “If God be for us who can be against us?” And “”Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect?” See Romans 8:31-34. Alas, if God be for us everything against us is reduced to a nameless and faceless who.
