It may be that it's a christian song and that it was the meaning to the one who wrote it, doesn't mean it can't have other meanings. Everyone sees things differently such as poems or drawings, based on their experiences and stuff and I myself think it's beautiful that everyone sees it their way and makes it a part of themselfs and shares their meaning and their part of the whole thing.

I am a Christian, but I am one who believes in the Gospel, in the Bible, that God created the universe in 6 days, that Jesus is His Son, that God raised Him from the dead in 3 days (so that whoever believes in His resurrection will have eternal life), but that's about it. We are created to love our spouse or whoever with all the love we can give them. And even if you aren't a Christian, you can still love someone.
