Everyone has their likes and dislikes. I feel I have bad enough luck drawing lands at the best of times. Let alone when the ones I have in play keep disappearing.
Ayyyyyye just did a deck review on this gem a week ago or so. Really like this deck, and right now it has a 60% win-rate which is actually really impressive for a mono colored deck.
It's pretty favourable into Mono Blue, because all of your creatures replace themselves, so a counterspell isn't too impactful. You'll have plenty of blockers and Strands is actually pretty good against them. I'd say White Weenie is very slightly favoured against Fae, just because Battle Screech is a hell of a card. It is slightly unfavoured post-board when they bring in the Arms of Hadar. Have to learn when you need to go all in, or just pressure them until they sweep.
I was playing this deck at the end of last year, and i gotta say, this deck is very strong (not busted, but strong). But my list was using Recommission and Dawnbringer Cleric main deck; and Obsidian Acolyte, Unmake and Holy Light sideboard; and 18 lands (i tested out with 19-20, and thought it was to many, so i used 18, and mulligan was really rare). Obsidian is very good against BG gardens and UB faeries/control. Dawnbringer is better than Standard bearer vs Glitters decks, but worst vs Gates/Bogles, and is also good vs Mono Red decks. Recommission is great vs Gardens and Ux control decks, cause you can reuse a creature that got killed. Unmake is very good vs Ephemerate/gates decks. And Holy Light is very good vs Murmuring Mystic Control decks
1:35:44 I would have checked the revealed Counterspells since we can see by now that the opponent is running atleast two different artworks. If they misplayed and discarded/casted one that hadn't been revealed before you would have free info
The only mistake, in my opinion, I feel I need to point out is that you sided out the prismatic strands against golgari gardens in round 3... which are a life saving for protecting your creatures from the most trettening board wipe: crypt rats... 1 prismatic wastes the opponent 2 turns trying to kill your board giving you 2 swings that with a well placed guardian's pledge can easily win you the game. Tried this strategy myself. For the rest you did very good👍
In my experience, Strands will only ever save you for 1 turn against rats, never 2. They will just activate rats again while strands is on the stack. I just don't think holding up mana to strands will lead to winning the game. You need to have an aggressive curve and hope they don't have a sweeper. Plus post side they have Drown as well so trying to play around one sweeper but be caught by the other is also a real feel bad.
Very nice deck ! Also for the league with some missing sound : you don't want to do a voiceover like you did once ? I know it's more work, and I am still ok to see it unlisted or idk how you could publish it. I hope next sunday deck will be U Tron ! 🤩
Apparently someone else is going to be playing Blue Tron, so look out for that. I was going to fix up the video and post it as a gift to the walls discord. I might just share it in a post unlisted so the subs can watch it if they want.
I like running boros version with "rally the peasants" which flashes back and makes it easier to clutch in +4/0 in one turn if you have the mana. So a single battle screech or set of squad hawks can do 20 damage.
I've done a couple of videos on Boros Bully and while I do prefer that deck, there is just sometimes where you want to hit things on curve with untapped basics which is would why you would run this over boros.
I noticed when I turned them off there was way too much dead air. I'll turn them down a little bit more next time but I won't turn them off as it also helps me hit specific editing points.
Ice Nine comes from Kurt Vonnegut’s “Cat’s Cradle”, at least I think that’s the origin. It’s a fictional military project that instantly binds water molecules together in a specific type of ice formation (hence the nine). Leads to an apocalypse of sorts in the book. Never heard of the band before but I do know there’s a Joe Satriani album or song called Ice Nine.
@@Kirblinxy you know, I meant to word that more like “oh cool there’s a band with that name too?” but it came out more “you don’t know what you’re talking about!”
Love your content. That said, seeing the Turbo fog guy complaining about the LD guy is hilarious. Keep up this amazing work!

Thraben inspector is my favorite card too 🥰
Next edition you will have 8 of them 😁

Nice! Deck still seems pretty underrated and I don't see that much gameplay of it on RUclips. Where did you get the win percentage number from?
god tier thumbnails every time
To be honest, I think this is the worst one I've done in a while. Was a bit of a rush job.
What's the matchup like for UB Fae and Mono Blue Delver?
Ayyy thanks man
How's the matchup to UB Fae and Mono Blue Delver for this deck?

No judge's familiar?
I was wondering the same lol, 20 lands are also a bit too much, the deck can run smoothly at 17/18, time to free some slots for a bunch of owls!!
@@2uxf3rgreymon52 I felt I had enough issues with lands this league that I wouldn't want to go any less than 20.

I love your videos and your commentary but could you please turn off the client sounds. Pretty please. I'll be your best friend. I'll buy you a puppy.

@@Kirblinxy cool. Down is a good compromise. Something about audio from a card game like that just drives me bonkers.
