  • In this video, I'll show you how to make an awesome faux cactus entirely out of paper! We'll go through the whole process from initial sketch to finished papercraft cactus.
First, I start by sketching out the cactus design on paper. Then I take that sketch into Adobe Illustrator on my iPad to digitize and refine the vector art.
Once I'm happy with the digital illustration, I send it over to my computer and use Cricut Design Space software to prep the cut file. Then it's time to cut it all out precisely on my Cricut Maker cutting machine!
With all the paper pieces cut, I'll guide you through assembling and shaping the cactus form. We'll use a wooden stick as the base to support the 3D paper structure.
For the final touch, I'll show you how I pot the paper cactus in a cute planter and add some decorative mulch to make it look ultra realistic!
This project is perfect for plant lovers and makes such a fun, low-maintenance decoration.
