Ah, Great Ace Attorney. Continuing that time old, familiar tradition from Ace Attorney of having so, so many same sex ships/pairings that practically feel canon. Capcom has always done well at making their AA characters feel like they could all secretly be gay/lesbians.
@@Adroit_Maelstrom Capcom either does it on purpose or they simply forgot how to make straight ships after Mia/Diego all the way back in T&T xD In all seriousness tho, I didn't go into the Great Ace Attorney expecting anything regarding ship tease. But every "ship" kinda felt natural: they all just developed natural chemistry based on their dialogue and interactions. Whether people ship romantically or platonically, I can honestly say that every ship (which you referenced in this video) has legitimate chemistry in game.
@@l.n.3372 Oh it's definitely at least somewhat on purpose. Again, Capcom knows what the series attracts and caters to them. They catered to that crowd with the mainline games. I can't imagine they wouldn't for these as well. That being said, I highly doubt they intend as much as people see if that makes sense.
@@Adroit_Maelstrom Although some might accuse Capcom of queer baiting, I don't think that's the case. They know their fans well and cater to them. And they never act intentionally malicious. While they never deliberately confirmed anything as canon, they also certainly never outright deny things either. Just as an example: the marketing for the Great Ace Attorney refers to Ryunosuke as the ancestor to Phoenix. The game refers to Ryunosuke as the ancestral attorney and claims that their luck/skill in the courtroom is something that runs in the family. Now, some might argue this confirms that Ryunosuke is straight or that he can't be gay (which seemingly sinks any ship of Ryunosuke with another guy). But I'd argue that it's not necessarily true. Mainly because Trucy was already shown to take Phoenix's last name of Wright once he adopted her. So, by this already common knowledge, who is to say that Ryunosuke didn't adopt as well, passing on his last name and law legacy? Similarly, Herlock adopted Iris, who has every right to take the last name of Sholmes now that she discovered that Wilson wasn't her father.
I'm glad you liked it! Hell yeah multishipping. I'll make another shipping edition eventually. Probably not too far in the future (Valentine's Day?). I just need to go compile more text posts for it.

THAT FUCKING IMAGE OF JIGSAW HIT ME LIKE A TRUCK I'VE SEEN THE POST BEFORE BUT NEVER WITH THE PICTURE I THINK THIS IS ENOUGH INTERNET FOR TODAY GOOD NIGHT
Yeah... I'll readily admit that that's part bias, part Asoryuu is just the most popular ship. I considered making this video only Asoryuu as I realized partway through making it that I had a ton of text posts on hand that I intended for Asoryuu and virtually no one else. I ultimately decided I wanted to spread the love around a bit though so I adapted some of what I had saved or looked around for new ones for the others. It's true that some of the posts for Asoryuu here are sorta generic and could be applied to a number of the ships but I ultimately didn't change them for a few reasons, one being that reordering the skits is a bit of a pain. I'll be looking to balance it a little more next time from the start.
I went into Adventures expecting to ship Ryunosuke/Kazuma. It does feel like the new Phoenix/Edgeworth, after all. But I think the difference is that Wright Worth is more about "former friends to opponents/rivals to friends again" while AsoRyu is more about "friends to tragedy to opponents yet always remain friends."
@@l.n.3372 Yeah I'd agree. I've seen some people say they're the same, and while they're similar, I'd argue they do have their differences. I think they're different enough to have their own merits.
@@Adroit_Maelstrom Oh, I think that Ryunosuke is definitely his own character and ditto for Kazuma. They are their own people while also paying homage to Phoenix and Edgeworth too. I think my comment was more about shipping than about their character analysis tho. Mainly because I went in expecting to ship Kazuma/Ryunosuke after years of playing games with Phoenix/Edgeworth. But when I actually played the Great Ace Attorney, I was surprised to find that I shipped both characters more with others instead of with each other. I guess that I prefer the "rivals to friends to lovers" dynamic a bit more than "friends to closer friends to lovers" lol
Dear god I have not laughed this hard in awhile🤣😂 I shipping heart feels awesome cuz seeing who I ship on screen with text is great❤️ I laughed way too hard when Barok said what do bees make and Kazuma said honey and Ryu said yes dear🤣 Than Barok said don’t lie to me ever again😂🤣 My favorites are Ryu/Susato, Ryu/Kazuma, Ryu/Barok, Barok/Sherlock, and one I didn’t see in the video Ryu/Sherlock One I wasn’t on board with but later grew on me is Barok/Kazuma
It's why I tried to include so many ships. Not every ship is for everyone and that's fair, but it's nice to be included! That's just so in character. I couldn't have it with any other characters. Yes Ryu/Sherlock completely slipped my mind and it's something I included in the next video (which just dropped)!
She is. Personally, I don't really ship her with anyone. These shipping videos are not a reflection of my own views on the ships. There are some ships I even really dislike here. It's worth noting though that Rei Membami is also 16 and Susato and Gina met when Gina was 17. As for Ryunosuke? There's a reason that they only get half a skit that really isn't even that "shippy" and can easily be viewed more as friendship than anything. The focus of those particular skits are Kazuma and Barok over Ryunosuke and Susato too.

Chicken van Ziek enter the room
-cue dramatic music
As it should be. When he enters a room I want his theme to be blasting
Chicken van Zeiks' theme is comprised entirely of bawks and squawks but still somehow sounds badass.
3:25 unrealistic Shomes is so much more impulsive, he'd jump straight to 'marry me'

It could also just be that she had a daughter/son and they married a daughter/son that Ryukosuke had
