So the big question is how much did this reduce the wind noise? A before and after video would have been helpful- but even and after video from inside might show us how well it worked.
In my experience, wind noise seems most annoying when the front most rack crossmember(s) present a flat surface perpendicular to the wind, like when square tubing is used. Adding half-round moulding to the leading surface seems to change the aerodynamic properties that create the unwanted noise.
It’s be nice to measure cabin noise before and after para cord wrap. Willing to bet your wrap doesn’t reduce wind noise. If anything, your roof rack is sticking out too much from the windshield that’s what causing the wind noise. It needs to tuck behind the windshield air stream
