I have not spoken with Daniel before posting this video. I would imagine he & his phone are very busy and network towers were likely affected as well during the storm. Having lived through and lost everything in the Joplin Tornado I have a heavy heart and very vivd memories watching his latest video. I just want to help spread the word for his family, friends, and their small town. My family and I have made a donation and will continue to pray. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but it is a long road of "why us(Sulphur)" before the light is reached. Anything and everything helps.

Yeah they lost a baby donkey in a flood at the homestead. But all his family ok , his mother in law did lose her business

Not forecasted like the system the other night but I’ll be awake until it passes. It’s been 13 years. Sideways rain. Seeing leaves flip upside down from the pressure. Chills.

Did you guys ever find what was eating your eggs? You should put a camera on them to try and catch it.
My step son was in the Joplin school when that tornado hit it. He was missing for hours, a wall had come down on him and 5 other boys. No serious injuries to them, thank god for that. The feeling of helplessness up here in NY State while watching the television live. We saw his step father, who was stationed there and other men in service going in and bringing children out. We watched as the search went on for hours just praying for a glimpse of him being brought out. Praying for everyone involved to be okay. When we finally heard his voice on the phone we all cried for joy. Praying for everyone down there. 🙏

I’ve seen the photo of you, Chad, amongst the rubble in Joplin. Devastation all around. It was quite the event to survive. I just watched Daniels latest video showing how high his creek got and the water damage on his homestead. I’m sorry for all the losses, and praying for a full recovery for everyone affected.
I think people assume it is deforestation. I live in Northern Minnesota and we clear old undergrowth regularly. This leaves us with big healthy trees. The beaver clear trees naturally and we don't stop them. I think you may want a " Norway" pine. They are lush and strong.
Franklin is quite a character! ❤ Love his attitude!
You have a responsibility to the trees as well, this means you have to manage them, just as you manage the animals. Clearing out the unhealthy or weak helps the rest of the wood.
Truth
My family and I went through a tornado in Pennsylvania. It didn't hit my house but we did watch it from our backyard. As soon as we thought it was coming towards us we ran for the basement.
My late mom was born in Grandfield, a little south, and maybe 45 miles west of Sulfur. My heart goes out to everyone affected by the tornadoes and devastating storms in "tornado alley."
I was watchin some of Daniel's channel. He had some real serious flooding on his place. His little "creek" was still too high to get out of his property at that time. He did find a way out and took his excavator in town and helped out. TERRIBLE mess in town. Thanks Chad, you are good people. The whole Doss clan. Blessings on you ALL!!

Chad, Please do not plant the White Pine anywhere near house or driveway. We just spent $$$ on taking down two 100ft white pines. They both lost the top 25ft to our last ice storm. Both were termite and carpenter ant infested in middle. They had roots raising our driveway to 4 inches at edge of pavement. The diameter of the first was 49" and the second was at 46". These trees were from pine cones seeding after the big fire in the 1940's here in Maine. If you do get a White Pine, plant away from driveways, powerlines and houses & buildings. Cheers from Maine.
Good advise. Pines and spruce have a shallow root system from my understanding. About 15 years ago, a spruce that was on the corner of the house went down. Fortunately, we only lost one piece of siding. But had the wind been in a slightly different direction, it would have landed directly on the house.

We clear trees on our country property to allow sun in. We get it!

My heart goes out to all the people impacted by these terrible tornadoes. The devastation is heartbreaking. People in Australia and elsewhere asking why you live in these areas need to remember the devastating bushfires that Aussie’s go through. We love the bush and not everyone likes to live in big cities. Chad my thoughts are with you as it brings back the trauma of the Joplin event.

Praying for everyone 🙏 Chad my son and his wife and baby was in the tornado in Joplin the same year you were in. I live in Virginia, we drove to JOMO one year later and the devastating was still apparent. I have a picture of a church that was destroyed. The only thing left standing was the cross ✝️ from the church. God bless everyone 🙏

Hi Chad, I said charge the lithium batteries outside because quite a few people have lost their homes charging lithium batteries in the house or garage.
Lithium batteries are a big problem with fires. We have had several deaths in Australia from e-bike chargers blowing and bursting into flames. Be very careful to charge them out of enclosed spaces.
Are there non lithium batteries anymore?
@@DossFarm not too sure but read they are trialling Sodium-ion batteries. I think the main problem with the lithium ones is where they are made. Cheap imports are the trouble here .. e-bikes were very popular Christmas presents but were made in China. I think they were left on charge overnight, overheated and exploded into fire. Becoming more prevalent. Houses have been lost and a few deaths attributed from memory.
@@DossFarm I have seen ride on mowers that run on a couple deep cycle batteries but all the smaller equipment seems to run on lithium.
@@DossFarm i think the key is not to leave unsupervised/ dont allow to overheat
I had no idea you were in the Joplin tornado. This was the 1st time I had heard you mention that since God led me to your channel. I already have so much respect for you and your family the way you handled the lose with the fire and continued to point people to God through all of that. Now this just adds to that level of respect to learn the fire was not your 1st time to loose everything you own, yet you still kept your faith in God. What a testimony you have. Thank you for sharing with so many people. The world needs to hear these kind of testimonies that we do have Christ and in the end, He is all we need.

Daniel posted a video this evening, their donkey pasture fense was washed out and lost the baby donkey(can find her on the property). He said all the families houses made it through the storms. Also, their merch building was untouched. Deejays moms shop was destroyed downtown.

I'm praying for the people who have been affected by the storms that we are having in our state and other states.
We have some trees in our front yard that don't give us any shade, but they did give our Neighbors a crossed the street from us some good shade in the afternoon, he would say please don't cut them trees down. Well, now he is gone, and the trees are Dieing, and I can't get up there, cut them down. And I can not pay someone to cut them down. So cut them down why you can.

I am so glad the Arms and Dusty's families are safe, as is yours. We live in an area where wildfires and flooding is an issue. Would not live anywhere else even with those threats. Keep safe and know you & yours is in our prayers.
My brother is a truckdriver and has 3 storage sheds in Omaha, so far he has not been able to find out if his belongs to include a jeep is safe or not. He is still on a load out west somewhere and i have a cousin in Nebraska as well and have no clue if they are all ok. Keeping everyone in our prayers.
June is always first of the herd. Love being able to see the sky through the trees. The clearing makes everything gorgeous. I remember when that tornadoe decided to ruin Joplin. That lower part of Kansas was bad also. Can't remember the name of the small town.. love and hugs as always

I grew up on a farm. My father cut many trees to keep the grass healthy and feed his animals. It is part of farming.

Tornadoes are amazing and terrifying I was 12 and we lived in a mobile home in Kentucky when 21 followed the same path thru Louisville thankfully our home was untouched
My sincere condolences to those affected by these tornadoes.

I’m glad the worst of the storms missed y’all. I have a brother and sister-in-law who live in Ada, just 35 miles from Sulphur. Thankfully, the worst part of the storms went around them. They did get a lot of rain with flooding though. Praying for all of those who did have lots of storms with destruction.

Yeah I heard a lot about that tornado I live there for three years and just moved there a year ago back to my hometown in Michigan and they are still building Joplin from that tornado

I remember the Joplin tornado, I live about 50 miles from there and I had medical record disks in my yard scary time.
I live in Kentucky and the Mother's Day tornado of 1995 that tore through our community. It tore the roof off our home and lifted it off of it's foundation and slammed it back down. We had just made it to the basement when it hit. I feel so blessed that my husband, children and I were ok. It is a feeling I will never forget. My heart breaks for the people and town of Sulphur.
