I was in San Juan for two days so have a couple more videos biking and the historical sites. The overnight sleeper ferry was definitely a highlight though.
A really informative and entertaining vlog…question did you purchase your tickets on line or you walked up day of embarking and purchase the tickets at the Ferry? Also the ticket price on the vlog was that a one way fair price or round trip fee?
I purchased mine ahead of time. They do it by email not online. I could have bought it the day of but I never like to take a chance. Prices were one way.
I work 18 hrs daily. I don't have much time to myself. That's why I asked. Can I take a large TV on board this ship? Dominican republic doesn't have a good selection. Thank you!
I'm going to Domincan Republic later this year and trying to also do this ferry overnighter to Puerto Rico. Will a UK passport allow me to do this? Or not? Just curious as most reviews I read or watch are those with a US passport so just thought you may know.
Check the Govt website for entry requirements but I'm sure UK passport is fine You can also ask the ferry company directly. They did not do online sales when I went, I had to send a scan of my Canadian Passport so they will tell you if there are any entry issues.

Seems like a good experience on the over night ferry - a good way to travel and not miss a day of your trip!
Yes it was a much more interesting experience than taking a 45 min flight and less hassle than airports. Also save a nights hotel.

did you have to go through a checkpoint when going from San juan to domonican republic.
I went the other way from Santa Domingo to San Juan, and yes you have to go thru border controls on either side.
@@Departures1 and what do they look for so they scan your passport?
🇩🇴 Dominican Republic and 🇵🇷 Puerto Rico
Yes it connects both islands

Do they still have this

Do you need a US passport to get on this ferry to DR?
Yes it is an international border crossing so passport control at either port
