Some of these logos would be quite scary if you were in a dark room with only the TV on, especially the NET "house" logo. I would classify the later version of the house logo medium-high in scare factor, as the synth tune is a little jarring, the background is dark, and the NET letters do look a little unsettling. It would have become like the BBC and we would have had to pay a tax to support it. PBS was created so the govt. wouldn't have to fully fund the network anymore. it could raise its own funding via grants and pledge drives.
