Great video! Now I’m considering getting that fortress anchor. My box anchor won’t hold for beans in the bay. I can’t wait until next season for Yamapalooza 2022!!
I anchor pretty much the same way, only in freshwater lakes. I use a bungee on my front anchor (FX-7) in conjunction with a standard line. That way I can pull the boat into the beach when needed. I use a regular line as well in case the anchor gets stuck, don't want to break it free with a bungee line. I also use a spike anchor on shore with a stainless steel Danik hook so I can adjust the stern line as needed. Another great video Capt ! P.S. Get the new version of TV's with built-in kickstand!
Hey thanks Rob. Appreciate your review as always. My little pump plug works well, when those Vectors need replacing I'll talk to Will about the kickstand!
Hey no worries, you'll do great! Just shut it down before you get too shallow to avoid sucking any dirt up. Try to gauge the depth as you head in nice and slow. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Leon, another fantastic video!!! Don’t worry about the wind, it was just fine. That was such an awesome day!! Who’s this Boating Propless guy, I’ll have to check him out! 🤪
If I can clarify: let out the front anchor, back in, put out the back anchor on the beach? I almost had my rental boat stuck on shore on Lake Powell because I had no idea how to beach the boat. I thought I just pull on up and back out when ready lol
Yes sir, that's my approach. Let out front anchor, back in to beach. Rear anchor on beach to keep vessel straight. Now if it's an outboard you may want to pull in bow first, up to you. Thanks for watching.
Cap Leon! Did you replace your original bow speakers? If so, what did you get to fit the OEM Yamaha holes? Mine are about done! Thanks Hank on the Jersey Shore!
Yes Hank I did replace them. The new ones are made by Clarion. Between the high powered head unit and the 4 new Clarions, the boat sounds incredible, plenty of Bass and distortion free volume. Might not satisfy the Sub and Amp crew, but I'm not looking to entertain the bay, just my passengers. They fit fine but needed new holes drilled for mounting screws. www.westmarine.com/buy/clarion--cms-651-swb-6-5-2-way-marine-speaker-with-sport-grilles--20002648?recordNum=1
As the tide goes out, how do you move the boat? Do you have to remove the bow anchor and redo while keeping the stern anchor in place if you have enough rope length?
Eddie, It all depends on what the tide is doing. If I know the tide is going out for most of the day I drop the bow anchor in deeper water as I'm backing in and let out a lot of line to get the stern to the beach. As the tide goes out I just tighten up on the bow anchor line while letting out line on the stern anchor to pull the boat out a bit deeper.
Super helpful informative video! Thank you captain Leon Legend.

Thanks so much for this video. We are going to beach our AR210 for the first time this weekend 😊

How did it go

You should, his videos are polished!
I appreciate the Thrust Vector protection idea. Thanks!
You got it Darrell, I use it all the time!
I second that, only thing more clever was the name “vector protector”. Thanks for the pro tip Captain Leon!
my pleasure!@@seanhelm1614

You should look into “anchor buddy’s”
Do they last? Some reviews say not for long.
I use an Amazon eye hook at my favorite anchor spots. Use the bow. Then tie off the stern to my predetermined eye hook.
Cool, sounds like a good technique!

@@CaptainLeonsBoatingandMore Thank you for this.
👍
the funniest part is when those beached boats forget to keep moving back when the tide goes out.
Ive had it happen, came close to being beached! Thanks for watching.

I love the way the hoodied crew just doesn’t want to be there. Perfectly acted to youthful stereotype…..l
Oh yes, like they are being tortured..lol. Thanks for watching Phil.
Your pointing is so distracting! Put the hand down!!
I'll try to remember for next time! Thanks for watching.
