      The Dyno measures wheel horsepower not crank. So, the Crank HP could realistically be around 240. In my limited experience the Crank to Wheel difference tends to sit around 12.5%. However, I don't know if that figure scales well.

    What's with the "hot day" nonsense? The dyno can correct the actual numbers to bring them into alignment with standardized testing conditions. Science has figured this out a long time ago and the dyno manufacturers have incorporated these adjustments into their software, so as long as the dyno operator is showing corrected figures, you can not worry about what kind of day it was.

    @tokyorick79 Год назад

    Honestly I’m really not surprised at the results, especially with the heat wave we’ve been dealing with. I’d propose doing this same test again in October, and 1 last time in January. Im sure there will be different results, especially with some good ole free Nos with cold air. but also there’s 1 thing that is also hindering these numbers, and it’s the fact that I haven’t seen 1 dyno tuner that has a fan strong enough to produce the wind velocity of your bike doing 150+, thus unable to account for the ram air that most modern bikes have. I’ve seen 1 shop that after they dial it in on the rollers they take it out with a data logger and then further fine tune. Because I’m sure that air/fuel ratio changes with the ram air. So while manufacturers claim a horsepower number it makes sense you usually don’t see it on a stationary dyno. I’m only saying this because we know we don’t race on dynos, and while the graph may say one thing, the real world can produce a different outcome. IB you know you my man, and I’m not saying anything to be negative, I actually think this was a very informative video, as per usual.

      He explained, temperature makes a big difference in hp numbers. And different kinds of dynos produce different numbers with all the same variables.
