Awesome! Excellent breakdown of each move. Lots of "hidden tips", such as room alignment. Easy to understand. The five moves in this video: 1. Progressive Rock 2. Double Corté 3. Reverse Turn 4. Reverse Turn w/ Outside Swivel 5. Promenade Pivot
Can you tell me what cues to use for these Tango moves? My husband & have just moved on to this video from the 5 Beginner Tango moves. We just started with the Progressive Rocks. But as the follower, I’m having trouble knowing when he wants me to step into the Progressive Rocks. He’s tried pressing into my back & tapping my back, but I’m frequently missing his cue. Thank you!
Hey Judy! Great question…we love the progressive rocks. 💙 Congrats on getting this far!! As the leader takes the 3rd step which would be the first quick, and into the first rock, he’ll need to bring you with him with extra compression on your back to stop your momentum. Because you’re rocking forward on the next step, he needs to take your body with him as he rocks back. As long as he holds his frame strong (not tense) this should make the move easier. Hope that helps!! If you need more clarification, let us know!! 😊

Room alignment is so important when it comes to certain moves in each of the dances. So happy it was easy to understand.
Great video, as always!!!
Very good teacher !
Thank you so much!
Hey Guys I am enjoying all these wonderful steps in so many different dances. Are all the dances you teach American Standard?
