Great review. Definitely the most detailed I’ve seen. I’d love to know what shock oil weight you went with. Also, Arma diffs drive me nuts with their factory oil weight they use. I’ve had some that were barely filled. What diff oils set up did you use for the front, rear and center?
It’s been a minute since I set that rig up but I believe the shocks still have the stock oil in them, as is our normal for the channel for an RC that controls well right out of the box. The diffs were all inspected and refilled. As I remember it was 30K front, 50K rear, and 100K center. It felt good with the tire weight and controls well for our driving style. Thanks for asking 👍
Thanks so if I put talion tyres and 14tooth pinion will it drive similar to talion or the other option is 4s back flips I don't really jump cars Thanks for advice
After looking over my exb on the front you could take a tiny bit off the end of the plastic arm where the ball end threads in essentially making the arms slightly shorter.

I love mine, but blew the rear end in a couple of runs, and the damn motor gear won't stay on for anything grub screw keeps backing out even with red locktite. Aggravating cause I love driving it.
I understand. In my experience I have had to replace the pinion because the threads were too loose. The fit of the pinion and the set screw is very important. Perhaps the one you got with your model was out of tolerance. Just an idea for you. And one more thing, heat softens loctite so using more on bad threads usually does not help much. I hope you get this issue resolved. 😎👍
Not at the moment. I do not have one, but I have driven them. However, to review them I have to own one, and I am not very enamored with the handling. So I probably won’t get one. I’m not saying it is a bad truck. I just don’t think it is for me. Maybe sometime in the future I might break down and get one. Thanks for asking. AJ
Great video! Which Savox servo did you replace it with and also is there another top of the line servo you would use for this car? Have been out of the hobby for 15 years and your videos are helping me get back up to speed. Thanks
The one I chose was bigger than my rig was setup for, so I had to do some custom work to install it. My fault, just pick a high speed, waterproof servo sized for your rig and go for it. High power output would be good as well. Sorry I couldn’t give you a part number. 😎👍

@@AJJAMStudios thanks for the reply. Got mine coming tomorrow. Have you heard of the battery tray fix for the Kraton using wing nuts? I had to do it on my v4 and EXB; do u think the Talion will need this?
Very helpful video, thank you. One odd question, Would the Talion wheels work on the Kraton? or would the lower profile cause the chassis to slap too soon?
Insightful video. Does the 6S Kraton V5 have the same problem with the front end? I just ordered a V5 and I read it comes with EXB arms. Any problems with the Kraton V5 that you are aware of?
I think this one falls through the cracks simply because of the looks of it. IMHO, it's one of the most unatractive cars out there right now. The body and wheels are the problem. A friend of mine has changed out the body on his to something else, I don't remember what it was, and swapped out the wheels as soon as he needed a new tire. Looks a lot better now.
That’s what we love about this hobby; diversity. AJ loves his Talions as do many of our friends, but we are aware that “Taste” is a thing. What works for some does not necessarily work for everyone. Great post. Thanks 👍
Sure. A wheelie bar from the outcast 6s. A rear bumper (which is a front bumper made by RPM) for rear protection. The front A arms made by RPM, to control the driveline issue. RPM rear wing mounts designed for the V4 Kraton. and that was about it. Everything else was stock. I hope this helps.
For the type of driving you were doing in this video, high speed dirt, corrugations, smaller jumps etc would you recommend the Mojave or Kraton 1/5 scale? And would you mind telling me why you would choose the one you did? Thanks and good job on your videos!
That would be a matter of what the driver is into. Each car has its charms. The Mojave is awesome for a desert racer, fast, awesome to watch run, and it’s tough as nails. The Kraton 6s EXB is cool too but in different ways. With some mild modding this thing is super durable. It is fast, jumps well, and is powerful. I would say the Kraton is a bit more versatile however. You mentioned 5th scale, again, it’s a different animal altogether. I bought the V2 RTR because we usually get the RTR before we get the EXB. As things stand right now, the 5th scale Kraton RTR is number one in our collection. But again, it is all a matter of choice for the driver. Performance, brute force, all around toughness, these all play a part. My favorite out of these three rigs has to be the Kraton 8s but it is a close thing. For me, any of them would make for an awesome day out bashing. I hope this helps 😎👍
The wing mount does not clear the opening in the exb shock mount. The RPM wing mount is thicker than the stock wing mount. I have a Kraton V4 so it easily clears the cutout in that shock mount.
