This is a heavy training video. I’m a new coach and I did my first 1 hr coaching session last night. You just helped me in every area of frustration and fear about coaching. Don’t worry about having intelligent answers. Focus on learning how the mind works and coming up with great questions. I could go on and on about the breakthroughs I just received from this video. I will be listening to it again to really burn the info in my subconscious mind. Thank you for this video. It’s a life changer! You’re the best!
@@coachseansmith Hi Coach Smith, I submitted my email address twice for a copy of the Great Questions to ask but it still hasn’t arrived in my email box nor my SPAM box.
wow - thank you. I am 7 weeks into a coaching course and I have to say I have been completely overwhelmed by the different information to remember / learn, everyone else has degrees and I feel like the class dunce because I cannot remember it all. But you have just brought this back for me, as to why I'm doing this. I may not be the cleverest person in the room but I can read people and relate to people, I can get people to open up to me and I'm going to hang on to that and keep trying.
I have done coaching in the past and you are so totally right on about asking questions. The whole problem of this world from dysfunctional families to dysfunctional governments is that no one asks questions. They shout advice at everyone and people think that they can change by catching a handful of advice and that will change them. But very few people are asked simple questions like, "Why did what he said upset you?" or "Did you really want to do what your father told you to do and why did you agree to do it?" But you have the magic wand. The question. I intend to watch more of your videos. Thanks for breaking through the stone wall of BS and giving some really valuable advice.
I was just here looking into this career and boy hav you motivated me to go for it. This sounds like a very liberating way to make money and help others.
I recall the feeling of relief once I understood that my clients have all the answers and I don't have to know everything! Really well made points, Sean - thanks.
"He who has the problem, has the solution" ... Weight lifted off! Posted going on my board. Internalising it, despite ringing so true is essential to help me in those moments when I need to remember to suppress the urge to solve :-). I love that point about providing only what the client is ready to adopt.. so true that. Thank you
You just coached me through this lesson. This is something I already knew, but it hit me today at the right time. It takes so much pressure off. Thank you!!
Great video Coach. "He who has the problem, has the solution" - I'll be keeping that close by for a long time to come. I really felt your genuine passion and enthusiasm about asking great questions. I rarely, if ever, watch a full 35 minute video but I stuck with this one until the end 👌
Thank you Benjamin. Yeah, that concept is incredible & so liberating! It reminds us we're just explorers helping someone find their truth. I'm glad you saw this one out to the end! All my best to you.
Yesssssss, I found Sean through Lisa Nichols...and they're both so good & awesome... I will be in their workshops & they sometimes last hours...I'm here for it all....I love your statement about those having the problems also have their own solutions 😇🖐🏿😎✌🏿👍🏾🙏🏾💜
I haven't watched the whole video because it's pretty long, but I will. But you have such amazing clarity when you are speaking that I could grasp the meaning of each and every word that is coming from you. Simply brilliant!! And there is so much of truth in what you are saying, absolutely loved hearing everything you said.

@@coachseansmith just the truth, it's amazing to see a person who develops a conscious attention in his life and at the same time transmits all the emotion of his discoveries in their purest state, thanks to you :)
I wish all of the school teachers talked the way you do. I could hear and understand everything you were saying. And I've noticed lately a lot of people talk in stories. We're been programmed since childhood to talk in stories that's why we have literature in school. We study stories but not real life here and now. We tell stories to ourselves and others about reality that does not exist and it's only in our heads. Fascinating. Thank you so much :) As a new student of coaching field your advices are the best ones so far. Thank you so much :)
Thanks for layering the questions for us. There may be a need to highlight that a coach may unintentionally harm their clients if they don't understand the impact of exploring a client's traumatic concerns.
This is very exciting to me. How do we know if they are ready to make a change now? I didn't feel like I understood how we determine that. Simply asking, a lot of people will say, well yeah I'm ready because I can't stand... feeling this way, being overweight, fighting with my husband....etc. It is imperitive to know if they are ready. I am a coach and so many times I dived in because they brought a problem up but as you mention they were not ready. So we both spent time and energy on something they were not ready to take action on. But they don't always know that up front. I will review but I didn't get how we know. Thank you for this awesome video btw!
