I was literally so freaked out until she mentioned the psp. It's amazing how only one sentence made me change from wanting to hide from her to wanting to marry her.
"I don't even have knives this time! Why won't you love me!" This character was so genuinely unhinged and I absolutely loved it. Your voice acting is out of this world though with the way you changed from angry, to sad, to manic, all within really short periods of time. It's kind of cool getting to experience how much range and talent you have when you do a video that isn't as much of a sleep aid/comfort story. Thank you for the awesome audio!

If anything in a yandere, i (for whatever reason) really like them being completely oblivious to the things they say and do being not easily acceptable or rather at least not particularly morally right, and in the end sometimes wrong, and they just see them as totally normal things and then come to wonder on how anyone else does not, and i think this - your version of the sheer oblivion of the trope was really well done :>

Gee, just when I thought I'd heard it all, you come out with this amazing and downright terrifying audio! The character was just plain terrifying, and I got so many shivers and goosebumps all over me from this audio. The higher-pitched voice you have been using so far for your Yandere character is perfect and gives off the perfect unhinged lover vibe. The VA is stellar throughout and seeing you switch between states of pure glee, to states of great sadness, and then to frenzied possessiveness, all within such a short period, was a treat to behold! My favourite sequence is definitely when the speaker snaps as the rage is displayed in full force so perfectly and genuinely had me in shivers. The sequence just before dinner time is a close second as I love the air of annoyance in your voice when the listener refuses to eat. Your maniacal laugh near the 5-minute mark is also spine-chilling has me wondering, "How many takes did that laugh need?"🤔🤔
Once again, I love the excellent use of SFX and background music to fill in the details of the story and immerse the listener. The eerie music during the maniacal laughter in the beginning which is also used in various parts of the audio and at the end of the audio, is haunting and it just screams “impending doom and dread”! Small things like the muffled voice when the speaker is on the other side of the door that lasts JUST until the door is opened and the rustling and ripping of paper when the gifts are being opened. I love it when these little details are present to fill out the “scene” in an audio. Trailing off with the same lines that were said when the speaker snapped with the added echo effect is a pretty neat touch as it reaffirms the hopeless situation the listener is in and just how much those lines has impacted their psyche already. I felt that was genius and perfect way to end off!
Thanks again for another amazing audio, Storm! It was a blast listening to this and I had to do a second take just to experience it all over again. This is toxic love at its finest! 🤣
P.S. Love the little references in the script. The mention of Pacific Rim, and oh gosh, the mention of the PSP, my beloved! So many good memories of that device. Neat little touches to a very exciting and terrifying script.
Thank youuuuu! I actually only recorded the maniacal laughter twice but the first one was the most credible so I went with that one. The "you're mine, mine, MINE" line took a few trials, as I was mostly just growling/shouting too much and my mic couldn't take it xD so this is the quieter version... but it's probably for the best--it might have scared you even more 🤭
