No because the fact that I want new adult books to be about self-growth/found family of characters in their 20s, but what I get is YA fantasy with smut is my villain origin story 😠
I love audiobooks. I wouldnt have gotten to so many great stories these past few years without them. I feel the people who ask for smut in ya....which is effing gross and those who only read mindlessly are odten the same people.
Another audiobook listener, I love it!! and those ppl are most definitely the same but hopefully new adult gets recognized as a legitimate age category so ya can be left for the teenagers that it was intended for lol
Sports romances... I hate them. I think tiktok has ruined them for me. They used to be so well done but now I think mixed in with the way authors are structuring the whole story around tropes is making them feel recycled
exactly! Most of them are way too similar and it’s just disappointing to see but I’d definitely revisit them once they stop being carbon copies of each other lol
