Watch 'God Bless America: How the US is Obsessed with Religion' here: • God Bless America: How...
Every day in the US, nine children are shot and killed. Some die in high profile mass killings splashed across the media, but many are killed in tragic domestic accidents involving the family arsenal. Despite this, more and more American kids are given guns as gifts. Should the right to bear arms apply to children?

New York also doesn't enforce its laws, who cares?
Yep it's not about "safety" it is about control. These anti gun crowd and the govt can't wait to talk ppl into giving up their rights. There are many straight-up lies in this video about the statistics.

11:00 They neglected to tell you that those "first time gun buyers" were actually paid actors.
I mean that and if you take a burger and give someone a long talk about how it can lead to cancer and heart disease, and about your uncle who died of heart disease after a fast food addiction or something, most people aren't gonna wanna buy that burger.
When we start enforcing the gun laws on the books, we might feel a little safer. But the odds on the politicians who keep writing more anti gun laws that regulate those of us that are law abiding gun owners and still refuse to enforce and punish criminals is slim. I carry because I am a law abiding gun owner and I choose to exercise my God given right to protect myself and others around me. I am also a sport shooter so I own multiple firearms. Back to the culture - On any give day I may be travellign to or from a sport shooting event. So I choose to carry to keep my guns out of the hand of bad guys. I am also a combat vet so I have seen the ugly side of firearms too. One thing they dont say in this doc is that the most dangerous person to a black youth is another black youth.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Simple

I live in the UK unfortunately and we have a massive problem with knife crime and Aholes stabing people but the answer to ending knife crime is not banning every type of knife made the same as ending gun crime in America is not going to happen by taking away the sale of gun's or certain types of gun's.
I don't know the answer but if you take away people's given rights to own gun's your just giving criminals another helping hand to make crime even easier.

I'm seeing a bunch of children being taught how to safely use a firearm for self defense, hunting, and enjoyment. Absolute goals. Gun violence in America is a criminal activity perpetuated by those who generally obtain firearms illegally. Far more related to gang violence. Domestic, accidental, shootings are rare. I have 3 safes and I EDC every day. It is low risk if done properly.
Holy fear mongering with this "documentary". FFS. How many cars have killed people accidentally or because of reckless use? How many knives?

The United States is still a relatively young nation. Allow a few more leaders to come and go, a few more draconian policies to be introduced, and, historically, we’ll have our own crisis to handle. Except that is all made up. In 2021, 2571 deaths from firearms occurred for 1-17 year olds, 1537 were homicides and 827 were suicides by firearms. That leaves 207 that could be categorized as accidents. All of this data is from CDC Wonder. That's not the majority and the total isn't even close to 18,000. Most deaths are caused by knife and hand guns incidents. I agree with more education but what are the alternatives.
STOP commenting when you're so ignorant. Go comment on pie baking or changing the oil in your car. The VAST majority of gun violence is in inner cities associated with gang violence and a certain demographic. Kids are not being killed by guns owned legally by their parents. The stats show overwhelmingly that the deaths are by suicides and inner city black-on-black violence. But that doesn't fit your narrative borrowed from the MSM so you start chriping on RUclips.

As with anything in life there are rules you must obey. Sadly, criminals and ignorant people often break these rules. If you want a firearm you must be correctly trained on how to safely use and store it. In older days some schools actually thought their students in marksmanship & safety. Some colleges today still offer Collegiate shooting sports programs. In the USA most states allow law abiding citizens to have the right to personally own firearms. It's a matter of choice if you wish to own firearms. Ownership requires being very prudent and responsible as a firearms owner.
What’s wrong with stricter gun control? Why are gun people so against it? Good people still get to keep their gun, bad people or people with mental problems get a much harder time getting their hands on one. Stricter background checks, mandatory safety courses, keep weapons in a gunsafe. That’s the least we should demand.

A weapon like a gun is a major "force-multiplier" that allows a frail woman to defend herself against half a dozen healthy young thugs that are breaking into her house. I don’t think many people realize this. The right to have guns is the second amendment, in the bill of rights. The Bill of Rights were ratified in 1791. I don’t know much about guns, but I’m sure guns back then were considered primitive to todays standards.
Also the fact that they wrote the constitution knowing things will need to be changed based on the needs of the citizens because they could not predict the future. This is why it's called a "living document". People keep spouting the "I need it to defend myself against a tyrannical government!!". Yeah, that made sense back then when a lot of people with guns could defend against an army with guns. In todays world, a bunch of citizens with guns cannot defend themselves against an army with nuclear bombs, blackhawk helicopters, spy satellites, and whatever else they want. If the U.S. Government became tyrannical and our citizens stood up with guns to fight back today, the U.S. would absolutely destroy the rebelling citizens in seconds
Did you know that citizens could own private ships with canons on them back then? They were actually instrumental in the War of 1812. The government hired private citizens as privateers to raid and capture British ships.
@@Joseph-Ryeah that worked so well in Afghanistan and Iraq, didn't it? You clearly have no knowledge in civil wars. You think the government is going to bomb a city to take out a few dozen rebels? No. Bombs and jets don't occupy cities and street corners, people do. Jets and bombs don't manufacture goods, people do. Without people, no country. Furthermore, they absolutely intended for the citizens to have ANY and ALL arms that the government has, so if the government should become hostile to the people, they can fight back.
1.)The internet didn't exist back then, but the first amendment still applies to speech on the internet.
2.) The U.S. pathetically lost the wars in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Both of them involved insurgencies. A domestic insurgency would be a lot worse for the U.S. government if the people are better armed.
There's a type of gun that was around during that time called the Belton Flintlock repeater, which was known about by the founding fathers as the continental Congress attempted to purchase some in the 1780's (ultimately didn't due to a pricing dispute) which could classify as an assault rifle under many modern definitions. It had a primitive form of semi-auto fire capability, as well as a removable magazine. And slightly later into the 1790's the US Navy used an early machine gun that was still entirely flintlock technology, but had a 120 round per minute fire rate and a capacity of 240 rounds in total.
Sure, technology has improved somewhat, but a lot of the concepts and ideas are *quite* old
The overwhelming number of Black Americans killed with firearms are young black males under 30 who were raised in single parent homes and no fathers because of 50 year old Government policy. These young black males are taught to hate each other is they are “disrespected” by other males and a cycle of gang violence and quick drug money, theft and car jacking fills the bill. Their schools teach very few skills and discipline is Mon existant by law. When I was a child and teen the Male teachers would not tolerate violent activity and beet you sill if you challenged their authority both a violent act and then have you arrested and expelled. In my fathers day they sent ungovernable boys to a reform school like military boot camp so you could not disrupt school. Other kids are killed as bystanders and in the White community iresponcible adults with children are a problem nobody punishes. Well, I've got news for you, there is a particular political party in the United States that view the citizens as animals "livestock", consumable workforce resources, and/or payers of taxes. This party certainly isn't the party of pro life, pro freedom, and personal responsibility, they are the party that is actively trying to disarm you, they spent a year literally burning the country down, they're letting drag queens twerk in front of your children at the library, and they locked you down for over a year because of a hyped-up case of the flu. By this point if your eyes have not been opened to the reality of what is happening you are blind, ignorant, or part of the team pushing the evil agenda.
There are more free-er countries than the U.S. Their freedom is just an illusion given to them by their elites.
Bro humans are not special we are smart animals
There it is. Let's bring in the politics.
You need to look up definitions of “machine gun”, and “assault rifle”. These are NOT readily available.
There is no legal description for assault rifle, or assault weapon. They're a mythical thing like a unicorn. Thank you for responding to BS.
Tell that to the kids who keep dying in school massacres!
@@tankscrittersandurbanhomes5579 You are uninformed. And you only needed to go to Wikipedia to learn more. An assault rifle has a shorter barrel relative to an standard infantry rifle, fires a smaller, mid-sized cartridge and MOST IMPORTANTLY has selective fire. That is, it can fire single rounds or switch to fully automatic fire, sometimes in three-round bursts. No AR-15 clone fits the above criteria.
@@M00PSY You can't remove the right for a country to defend itself at the citizen level based on the actions of a few madmen. Not storing medications properly and other home accidents by not childproofing a home kill more children every year than firearms, by a lot. Put it in perspective when looking at the total number of accidental deaths instead of pushing a sensational sentimental political agenda politicians use to pull at heart strings for votes.
There are family that hunt . Deer, duck, And the kids in that family learn about guns, shoot with them .
There is no such thing as assault guns if you mean military rifles they are already banned
Fathers giving their little girls guns... That's really just a present to themselves isn't it.
If americans had to choose between guns and their children, they would choose guns.
@@Max-sj8xb Reality proves it my brother. The only reason why Americans insist on being able to own rifle calibre semi-auto firearms is so they can have fun at the range with their tricked out AR-15s.

If non American westerners had to choose between mild inconvenience and killing their children, well. You get my point.
They have already made that clear considering the amount of dead kids from school shootings. Kids are collateral, guns are a God given right.
Damn, I never knew there were so many kids in the US that either ended their lives or killed somebody with a gun. How incredibly sad.

Solution to the UBC issue. Require the UBC when you apply for or renew your REAL ID drivers license?photo ID. Then require the REAL ID as proof of identity for all private and commercial sales. If the buyer has a REAL ID they have completed the UBC process. It ensures every firearm purchase has had a UBC and doesn't focus on the 2nd Amendment right.
I had a similar thought, though opposite. I thought every prohibited purchaser should get a "P" printed on their license/ID. That way, a private sale can be done in good faith if if there isn't one.
What we need is to require the Real. ID card to be used for voting.
@@jjx9625 What we NEED is to require the Real ID to be used for getting a Real ID.

I’m Lebanese. We do this too lol 🇱🇧🇺🇸 I truly believe if children are taught firearms at a younger age it takes away the factor of the unknown in the child being curious and having a mistake rather than just not touching the firearm if they found it while they are alone. I found my dad‘s loaded guns and was scared to grab them because of what my dad told me
Without a doubt sir!
Exactly!!
The shooting range they featured I think it's located in Central Lake. I hate it, just sitting on my dock and it's quiet than Bang. I found out that the murders that happen in the country all involve guns and involve domestic disputes.
The last robbery happened in 1987...

have to leave this doc now. At 11:38 out of 50 minutes it is devolving into a very subtle anti gun piece. And that is doing nothing to educate our communities in safe gun ownership nor is it addressing how the lack of enforcing gun crime is affecting our communities. I leave you with this. Within the rules of your state OWN TRAIN CARRY. Then teach others to do so safely.
Y’all gonna make a doc on acid attack and knife attacks and how they need to be banned in the UK next?
Are they going to make a documentary in the USA about attacking planes and how they should ban planes?

My grandma taught me how to respect and shoot a .22 rifle. Also when my parents left to work I was told to defend my little brother If I had to with the family 9mm berreta. I was 13 and was expected to be responsible and never once acted in stupidity or anger around a firearm. The 2nd amendment is powerfully important to protect the 1st amendment and all the rest of the rights in the bill of rights and the constitution.
In ye olden days, the family rifle hung above the fireplace to be kept dry and away from children. Kids got severely punished if they got near them.
wow, this has so many inaccurcies about guns..1st, “no” such thing as an “assault” rifle..”assault” by definition is a “physical” attack upon someone..a gun “cant” get up by itself and “assault” someone..2nd, those moms need to do their homework and not just read about gun deaths and stats which sounds like what they did..i bet if u asked them how many lives are saved each year with guns i bet none of them could tell u..3rd, all the laws these anti 2A politicians passed didnt stop any shootings after and again passed more and again didnt stop any..why doesnt the parents lobby against car manufacturers and alcohol companies when a loved one is killed in a dwi? a car is just as deadly..a 2000 lb+ projectile going 60 mph+ isnt gonna kill someone?..but they will say oh thats ridiculous..tell me why..unlike a gun a car is driven by a human were a gun cant shoot someone w/o someone squeezing the trigger..in all my yrs in the army and a civilian, ive never had a gun go off by itself..ok, yes there is some unresponsable people who dont lock up their guns w/ kids around, but dont go after the majority of gun owners who do lock up their guns..most people who are accidently shot are uneducated about gun safety and storage..not everybody should own a gun..not every gun death should be politicized and when the politicians who write these gun bills comprehend that the bill/law “only” effects the “law” abiding citizen cuz criminals and the me tally ill “dont” follow their gun laws, then half the battle is over..go after them and not us cuz the law abiding gun owner may be the one who saves your life

the Lefitst Propagandists are not going to tell these fools that. Does not fit the narrative.
But it doesn't specify if any of those crimes involved guns. That's an important factor in this situation. Handguns were banned in the UK in 1997, homicide rates peaked in 2005 and declined steadily after that. Recent analysis show it's at a record low. But sure, we need guns. Go Murica!

Only in the US will you here something so sad...
@@porthmeor1 it’s hear not here... and what actually is sad, is that in many country’s you can’t even defend yourself. If someone breaks into your home, robs you or comes at you with a knife or any lethal object, you’d be wishing you had a gun to stop the threat. Just look at the UK.
“The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” - Thomas Jefferson. @@Ryan-em1sv So...thanks for showing your true colours (you know you are in trouble when an American picks you up on the use of the English language!).
Well...first question is ... defend yourself against what?...do you really live in such a lawless society?
Here in the UK you are twice more likely to be struck by lightning than killed by gun crime yet we still go out in the rain!
You have to accept that you have cultured a society controlled by the neurosis of defence, insecurity and mistrust. Here, and indeed, in the rest of Western Europe, entertaining the thought of owning a gun for security is just not a thing...even our police do not carry guns. If they needed to they would, but they don't.
It amazes me that Americans believe they are safer if they have a gun when statistics clearly show you are more likely to be shot carrying a gun than without.
Ask yourself this...take a minute to think...do you believe you and your family would be safer living in the UK, without guns, than you would in the US.
And as for being sheep...who is it that are flocking to stores to buy more guns per person than any other civilised (not sure civilised is the right word here) country in the world?
