My brother lived in a apartment complex in the early 80's He drove a 67 Firebird, every time he locked it up someone would break into it and steal the stereo or try to steal the car. (He had a kill switch on it). He started leaving it unlocked and in nice weather he would leave the windows down. Nobody ever bothered it.

I usually take the windshield off and both doors, take the trunk, hood and interior out, take off the rims and pull out the engine and transmission after I park it to run errands. I also torch the frame that way no one is tempted..
Best advice I can give mopar owners is to pull a fuse or 2. Each time you leave the car. I know it’s a pain in the ass but cheaper then a kill switch and it will have the thieves going crazy thinking they trying to steal a dud.

Still the best way to prevent the theft is also dirt cheap. A well hidden but easily accessible kill switch. You can even get a magnetic activated switch..
Lol fr though….There’s actually a way easier way to prevent theft with your demon/hellcat…Open the shifter cover by simplifying popping it off. Then pull out the ECM master key, it should unplug like a relay box and simply take it with you. Now…If some moron wants to steal your car, they’ll have to have a master key flashed to your specific ecm, and have their own master key to flash to it also, and that’s pretty hard to do…Most car thieves don’t go to that great of lengths to take a car. If it’s from a different car where the vin and mileage don’t line up though, it will go into a lockout mode until it has the right one in place. Hopefully this helps anyone that is worried about the same. It was made with it for this reason though, to do just that. The only other car I’ve ever seen with a something somewhat similar to it was back in 88 when ford made the thunderbird turbo coupe and svo mustangs, except theirs was just a disconnect, and not linked to the cars ecm.

I feel like there needs to be a anti-theft system that not only has GPS but can also disable the ignition system remotely. This combined with cameras inside the vehicle and on the outside and they would have a pretty hard time
