This is Fiona Violet from our community - yesss to this SPT!! I really related to this one, and I love you how just lay it out like it is. I choose this too. This hard is sooo much easier. Also, I remember picking that book up as a teenager too, reading that first line, and getting so mad I didn't read the rest lol.
Really love this one Susan! Please, what can we say to people who respond to doing what you’re suggesting by saying-“why can’t you just participate? What if everyone wanted to store their food in the special walk-in cooler?”…I find that the hardest social instances to navigate is when friends, family or peers try to tie taking care of my health to me having a sense of “privilege”, like I am suggesting I’m better than others or requiring access to things that others would not be able to have if we all wanted it, etc. I hope that makes sense. I need help with this! What verbiage can we use to respond to those who would call you privileged, superior or high maintenance for accessing the camps fridge to store your special meals? 💚
It’s strange how people , friends and family included have no issue telling a people what they should and shouldn’t be eating. It’s like socially has made it ok. I prefer to not tell people the why’. It’s like religion, everyone thinks theirs is the right one and the others have it wrong.! My food and food related choices are my religion. If they want to learn more, i am happy to share, if they want to pick it apart, I stop engaging in sharing my beliefs
Hi there! That is a tough one for sure. To such an extent that it's something we focus a fair amount on in our Bright Beginnings course inside The Bright Line Eating Membership because navigating social situations can present some awkward moments and uncomfortable conversations. Perhaps this vlog will shed some light for you: www.brightlineeating.com/blog/languaging-our-no-thank-you 🥰
Susan, You mentioned this quote briefly in another vlog post. I grabbed the phrase and took "Chose your Hard" as my motto to ask myself when I have to decide to stay bright. Thanks for sharing this concept again but in more detail.
Hi Susan, do you have a pdf copy of the Eating Guide Magnet that we can buy online and download and add to our fridge in paper form or get laminated? Live in Australia
Hi Janette! You can buy the magnet in the Bright Line Emporium: HTTP://www.brightlineemporium.com The food plans also appear in Susan's books 'Bright Line Eating' and 'The Official Bright Line Eating Cookbook.' Additionally, the food plans are available as downloads in the files library of our Member Hub. We hope this helps! 🧡
I do have a membership and was in an assigned group. But now the group is paused. Due to all the things I manage in my life, I cannot dig through this and that to figure out what happened and where support needs to be found now. Would you or someone in your team please let me know how to reconnect to the community? Because right now it feels like the carpet was ripped out from under me. (And I’m paying financially and mentally for this). Thank you!
This is a perennial favorite video of mine, Susan. The message of “choose your hard” can never be heard too many times. Thank you.
🤗🧡

Thank you Susan for your love and compassion, and for carrying about me.
Loved this! ☀️
Loved his book, too. Along with B.F. Skinner’s, “ Beyond Freedom and Dignity.” Seems most DJ is playing that one.
Awesome. Thanks. Makes me want to go to camp. Ha!
Such a great reminder, thank you! When will the boot camp be available again?
Hi Anna, we have our new Bright Beginnings available now within the membership! 🧡

Aside from not overweight, how about longevity as a goal? In the context of bright line eating
So good! Just what I needed to hear. Thank you!! (Also, that color looks great on you!)

There are no groups anymore, it is just one FB community. Go to the hub in your membership and then community
Terrific reality
