Thanks for this video. I’ve done some signs but have gotten so frustrated using the stencil material. I’m going to try it this way just using the permanent vinyl. Also, the other day I needed to recut my design and I knew there was a way to recut it, but at that moment I didn’t have time to search how, so you answered that question too. Thank you for your newsletter. I enjoy getting them.

I'm so glad you found this tutorial helpful! I love having the ability to send my material back through for another cut. You'll love using permanent vinyl instead of stencil material. It works SO well!

Do you have any tips for signs that you put a base layer of paint first? The base layer keeps peeling off with the stencil

If you start with a board that is painted how do you prevent the permanent vinyl from pulling up the base paint? I painted a board blue and let dry for over a week and then applied my design using permanent vinyl and the vinyl pulls up the base paint and I have to do quite a bit of touch up. Is there something to use to coat the base paint color? The board was smooth wood as well.

Did you paint the wood part first or did it come painted? If you painted it, do you have to seal before you attach the stencil?

It came painted already. If you painted it yourself you could definitely add a layer of sealant to it before applying the vinyl. I'd just make sure the paint has adequate time to dry before applying the vinyl to it.

Beautiful I love this. What spray did you use to seal the project with ? And where do you get the brush for the pouncing and the adorable sign where did you get that ? Thank you so much for the idea for the project. .?

I loved this video. I’m admiring your pretty pegboard and was wondering where you bought the ribbon holder and spool holder from. It such a pretty pegboard.

Thank you! The company that made my pegboard went out of business. The spool holder is from JOANN.

Why would you use paint rather than just the vinyl?

It's really just a personal preference! Paint gives a different look than vinyl and comes in a wider variety of colors and finishes.
