Thank you so much for this video. It’s a bit frustrating to figure out the right equipment for repairing poorly installed blanket insulation, as most online resources will point you in the entirely wrong direction for the mounts, and the big box retailers literally don’t carry the appropriate equipment. At least now, I can buy the correct hilti large washer nails for the powder actuated tool. If you’ve also stumbled upon this video randomly, for the love of god, don’t use the plastic cap nails they sell by the ramset in the nail section. They’ll punch clean through the membrane and rip easy from there. That’s what the old homeowner did, and that barely lasted half a year intact.
You guys are crazy, in a Fun way! Thanks for the demo

Thank you for this advice
Which power load do you use for the insulation blanket pins; Brown/2. Green/3, or Yellow/4?
What R Rating would you use for a Colorado basement?
R-11 is to code. We do R-15 blanket.
Crazy to see a guy put a charge in a gun, then load it with a nail, then put it right up to his hand. 😬
Where did you get the poly blanket from?
We get ours from Eagle Rock Supply in north Denver.
