I really appreciate how you broke down the concepts into smaller, and more user friendly concepts. I am going to use your other videos as well. A small thing that will need to be changed is the date of the Dust Bowl. I looked up the Dust Bowl dates and it said it was in the 1930s or the “dirty thirty’s”. I am sure it was already changed on your website and this video just got missed. I really like the videos and will subscribe-THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO TO HELP TEACHERS OUT!
We would recommend reviewing this page on how to write a CRQ: www.240tutoring.com/constructed-response-questions/ Overall, they are looking for a whole essay, complete with paragraphs- not just short answer (which is paragraph length responses)
BIG TIP FOR WATCHING THESE VIDEOS! Go to the description box, click on “view transcript” and slowdown the playback speed :) You’re welcome and good luck on your test!
How likely is it that the two short answers questions will be on U.S History and state history? (California) I looked at the sample questions online and the two they used were U.S. and California State History so I planned to study for big events within those topics. But I'm afraid there will be a short answer on World history. Any tips?
The short answer can cover anything. We have seen- historically- its US and California history. World History is SOOO big of a topic, it'd be hard to pinpoint what they could ask. So we would recommend focusing on US and California- especially US events that have had an impact on California history
Thank you for the video! I appreciate you going over all of the items needed for his part of the CSET. The part where you say "early and medieval civilizations" and then list 7 civilizations, I'm having a hard time narrowing down what part would be good to study. For example, medieval European civilization... where in Europe, what part? Chinese, what part of history should we know? I'm just trying to narrow it down as much as possible! Thank you!
The test can ask questions from a range of history. Typically US History, California History, and European History are the best areas to focus on because they have most impacted California today
The information from this video is not 100% the same content from the CSET multiple subjects cliffnotes book. Do you suggest i study strictly from the book or should i study what you are saying will be on the test?
We took our information straight from the CSET test requirements: www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/content/docs/CSET_Prep/CS_multisubject_SMR.pdf If what you are studying doesn't align to that- then I wouldn't study it. The large companies- like Cliff's Notes- don't spend a lot of time on the smaller exams (like the CSET). They spend their time on the SAT, LSAT, ACT, etc. because its larger markets with better profits. So there material for exams like the CSET usually are more generic and not great.
I tried studying from the cliffnotes book for the subtest 3 and it did not match the outline of what is actually on the test. I did not find that book helpful at all, I studied what was on the printout for it and passed that way
Hey, I was just wondering. Is all of the material you offer 100% stolen from CliffsNotes CSET: Multiple Subjects (Big yellow book) book? Or do you at least offer something a little different? In other words, why should I give you money when all you did is just rip off, word for word, content from another book and try to make it your own?
Thank God I finally passed my CSET EXAM ON MY 3rd attempt with the help of Mr DAVID, I used his preparation tips. just 3 days of working with him and I passed. I was referred to him by a friend before my exam. Please friends I recommend you to mr DAVID. The man has the key to getting your exam

Is there any books, websites, other videos, and/or apps you reccomend? also is a strategy on the short answer questions?
I like the part where he assumes a different sideways pose to throw in his zingers and punchlines.
Yass!
Clear overview as I read a print overview recently and it is fairly parallel. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment DC!
Any tips for the CSET essays for Subtest I on what to look out for? Are the essays in full paragraph form or paragraph-length?

Great tip Mia! Thanks for watching!
Thank youuuu!
I am a little confused why the title of this video is Subtest 1. Aren’t US History and California History in Subtests 2 and 3?
I believe Subtest 1 is made up of Reading, Language, and Literature AND History and Social Science
Is the CSET the only test review you do?

well they all are the same because its the same test. They didn't rip anything away. In the end all the books are showing the similar information.
