The "Vikings discovered Australia" joke was also a reference to the same joke that Oversimplified made in the American Revolution series. LOL
Fat Election did a good video on the Emu War and put it into decent perspective as to why everyone thought Australia "lost."
More oversimplified with the mrs
Emu's taste like the toughest stringy beef just my opinion Cheers from Oz
I mean if you played the whole thing about the vikings he said "you'd be wrong" if you said "The viking discovered it"
I think you just paused two time, both early for him to finish the sentence.
Also that gun mounted truck was the worst idea they had.
There was no road, it was just wild and bumpy farmland. Of course they would crash.
They obviously aren't very good historians
Ok there is no way the Vikings went to Australia lol! Also that would be a hilarious April Fools' song for Sabaton to cover the Emu war! I had never heard of this, learned something new
Lol, what's happening Allen!? Yea, I felt like a punk for believing it for half a second. I thought about editing that out, but that's not how I roll! LOL
@@HistoryBuff those sorts of genuine wtf moments are great 😂😂
Aussies > Tough as nails and successful in wartime
Aussies > The only ones to live in a place where everything tries to kill you
Aussies > Loses war to a bird
Canadians > Tough as nails and successful in wartime
Canadians > Successful war criminals
Canadians > Has to fight with geese over territory
I can feel the pain guys even from across the globe 🤣
Can u check the rise of the abbasid caliphate by epic history, its a very good summary of Middle Eastern history in the 8th and 9th century

Why can not a single American pronounce "Emu"? They literally say it like a hundred times in this video and you're still mispronouncing it 🤦♀️
Idk, same reason Australians don't pronounce the letter R when it's there and pronounce it when it's not. Kinda how the world works, Linda.
@@HistoryBuffno idea where Laura’s from, but as a Brit - fair play. As a Geordie (English Citizen from Newcastle Upon Tyne), I say the word don’t as ‘divent’, no reason why, it’s just how I speak.
Loving the Yeehaw Historians ( ;) ) doing this as a married couple, it’s beautiful. Keep up the good work!
