I love shell hunting but I don’t think it is nice to take shells with live creatures in them. Very 😞

DONT TAKE LIVE SHELLS
My husband and I have visited Kauai and the Big Island on numerous occasions but the only seashells we have ever found were about the size of rice grains. We wondered where we need to go to look for “normal” size seashells in Hawaii. We collect seashells and we had many luck finding beautiful seashells on the Southwest of Florida.
Try the beaches of the east side of Kaua'i. Have fun
Wow so many still have live animals in them. Is that ok with you folks? Typically you don't take shells with live animals. I'm so confused
Love the shell! In Florida is against law keep any live creatures..but they are awesome find! What shells are most common on this beach?

As a local girl born and raised in Hawai’i, we do not take shells that have sea creatures in them out of the ocean. It is not pono. Those animals are still living in their homes. Please shell hunt correctly and only take shells that are empty.

Yes! I definately would like to see more shelling videoes! I tried when i was on vacation. Found some, but not all beaches have shells.

Polihale.is the best place I think. But you gotta get there at sunrise to find them. People that know are out there early. I found 6 in one day there about 20 years ago.how can I send you a picture?

I hope you put back the live creatures. For one it's not moral and for another it is illegal.
There are live crabs in some of those shells. They will die and stink. Yuck.
Stay off the reef! And don’t be so disrespectful to take live shells. Gross.
