As a person from Kauai, I really appreciate you not disclosing the beaches and locations of where you find the shells. Too many people share the locations of very special places and it ruins it for everyone. So thank you for not being one of those people.

I have shelled in Galveston before, and haven’t had the best of luck. It’s pretty sparse there for shelling. I’ve had better luck at western end of padre island national seashore. The Texas coast isn’t the best for shelling, but it can be done! 🐚

@user-ht2iv7rz5r I just got back from Galveston, Texas. The shelling is not very good in Galveston. Have you ever taken the ferry over to Bolivar Peninsula? 30 miles up the road from the ferry, you can find nice shells. It's called High Island Beach. The beaches soon before High Island have shells too. Good luck searching for shells in Texas. I hope you find some great shells.

Hi Ellie, this the best Hawaiian shelling video I have seen. The info on the shells and the amount is amazing! I go to Maui to snorkel for shells I have had some luck but nothing like you found on Kauai. I am going to be on Kauai in May and would love to know a few beaches you liked. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful shelling experience 🤩

Thank you so much for your kind words! I always wanted to snorkel in Maui for shells, I've heard there's a lot there. It took me about 3 months to find everything that's in the video on Kauai.
Here are some of the beaches that I loved: Polihale state park & tunnels beach

Hi, I just subscribed. What a beautiful place and the shells are all stunning. 😍
I do like big old worn shells too. They have character.
I'm sitting in cold Germany wishing I could swim where you are and go shell hunting. 😅
We don't have any shells on our beaches on the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The Baltic Sea is about an hours drive from where we live.
The beach is small and stoney here too.
It is lovely to see your beautiful beaches and the whole scenery.
Thank you for sharing and giving us info about what shells eat, etc.
There is just one thing I think would be great.
If you could lay out all the shells at the end so that we can see the whole collection after each day. Its nuce to see them all together and quickly run through the names again.
It is truly shell gem heaven over there. The snorkeling and turtle at the end was amazing.
    Waving from Germany. Ciao 👋👋👍💖🐚🐠

Maaaan I can’t believe the difference between Kauai and Hawaii. Every time we are on the big island you find primarily pieces of shells because of all the lava. Now I wanna go to Kauai next time we visit.

This is definitely one of the best shelling videos. I'm subscribing. My husband and I just went to Oahu in November. I was able to find some shells. What time of the year would you say is the best for finding shells in Hawaii? I would love to go shelling on Kauai. Which beach had the rocks?

Thank you! I go at sunrise to try to find sunrise shells- they're often picked up by other people if you go later in the day. But other than sunrise shells, the best time for beachcombing is generally an hour or so before low tide
