Super stoked for Zak Crawley. He's really the future of the England betting and being in the crease with King Root, who's just a classy player through and through is beautiful to witness. The English needed this

Goes without saying but Joe Root is just so class, so elegant to watch. Seems to just motor his way to a score out of nowhere. Loved the runs from Crawley and I think he’s got real potential but we can’t get carried away, needs to start doing this more consistently because he averaged 10 with the bat last year..
That is not true
At some point he averaged around 10 but that 79 in Sydney would have taken it well past 10

Wtf, are you on crack or something. Last year was Root’s highest scoring year and he averaged at 61 with the bat scoring 1708 runs. Some simple google search will get you the answer.
Now the challenge is to keep this consistent.

I’d rather see Joe focus on the longest format and leave the T20 and Hundred stuff to others. After their performance in Aus, the England Test squad needs to be divorced from the short versions and immersed in developing their batting and innings-building skills.
To be fair, they could do with some help from ECB and the counties and a refocusing on the multi-day formats while maintaining the short formats for those with less patience for results.

To be fair Crawley didn’t look that bad when he batted in Australia. And at 3:25 Root needs to put away that shot, it got him out to many times in the ashes

Why does he need to put it away? Australia is the only place it hasn’t worked for him, it’s like his most productive shot

I wouldn't say he's class, that's still to be proven. Given the lack of quality in the west indies bowling attack, it can make slightly better than average players look great.
All these players were like deers caught in head lights in Australia with a proper bowling attack.

End the day 3. England control the baton in this test match. Root & crowley show their class and trimendas performance. Specially Root are standing best time his test career.He is showing his class his temperament .I think he is the best slog-sweeper in this time.

Not only to save but also to make Test Cricket more entertaining, ICC must consider implementing a new simple rule:
The batting team must score a minimum of 250 runs in 80 overs. If not, automatic wicket penalty will be imposed. Also, for additional short of 40 runs from 250 (in 80 overs), additional automatic wickets will also fall. Here's how it should work:
In 80 overs, score 250 or more - no automatic wicket loss.
In 80 overs, score 249 or less - one automatic wicket loss (wicket #11)
In 80 overs, score 209 or less - two automatic wickets loss (Wicket #s 11 & 10)
In 80 overs, score 169 or less - three automatic wickets loss (wicket #s 11, 10 & 9).
When the total count (actual + automatic) of wickets loss after 80 or 160 overs equal to 10, that will be the end of batting side's innings.
This rule will enforce the batting side to score runs rather than blocking and blocking to enforce a draw.
Test cricket will be fun again if this rule is implemented.

Yet another ‘draw from the jaws of victory’ performance thanks to Root. Yorks CCC know a thing or two about captaincy, they’ve always called Root ‘the craptain’. Poor old Joe, even his batting is more than he can handle, how did a man like that end up craptain of England?! Mike Brearley must be crying his eyes out. Mind you Brearley understood games of cricket are to be won or lost; not drawn. Root settled for a draw 2 days ago. They must have a sell out to watch a bore draw! There should be a side rule in cricket, if you keep settling for a draw you should be slung out for being boring.
