Great job =D Capacitors aren't just for bypass / smoothing! They can be used for timing too! They can be used to delay the fall of a signal for example, or as a low pass on a particular signal. And they can be critical and required! Don't believe me, find a PLL circuit on something and remove a ceramic cap from there.
I agree with you, especially on a cristal oscillator circuit
yeah some IC's that need caps for internal workings but not enough room inside the package will have them right next to the IC and can LOOK like bypass caps to the untrained eye, but if one side of the cap isnt on ground then it isnt a bypass and is likely needed..
But out experience we know that caps are mostly not the reason why something doesnt boot most of the object use more then one caps so if one goes to sleep there a plenty more a filter or resistor is a inline “series” component it can break the circuit and that will kill the function
Don’t forget analog compensator design, when the capacitor value determines the zeroes and poles of your compensator.

i have replaced the hyundai KEY FOB battery 3 times in the last 2 weeks, i replace it with a new battery and it works for 4-5 days and then nothing , i hit the button no light no response from car, so I repaired it at home.. now key is working fine.
This board is clearly requiring a very good cleanup after this repair, other issues may appear afterwards.
Maybe also apply an ultrasonic bath cleanup and afterwards a very good pcb conformal coating spray masking certain areas, that will certainly provide a longer guarantee of work for this job. Happy 2021

this diamond key uses ltihium 3v battery button, it charges by induction when the key is in the ignition
this is why this keys hold for 20 years without problems and to open you have to cut around the perimeter with a razor blade.
I know because I have the same key and already made it.

In the old days maybe, hopefully not though i don't want another reason to buy one, (costs a lot of money) i would rather get a thermal cam for that kind of money🌝

@@lexander9686 : Thermal cam is a necessity -- huge time saver. I think AWG depends on your projects. I still use AWG to test and calib circuits on busy boards.
