I was randomly led by the Holy Spirit to discover servant of of God, stanswala, over a year ago. A journey that led me to discover my families heritage of rich Carmelite faith and to discover that my great grandmother, a polish immigrant , knew stanswala personally and may have been related to her. She named her first child after her. Her story is unbelievable. A brave, beautiful faith. An incredible human being. She without a doubt deserves to be recognized as a saint.

Thanks for video about her. She wrote some of her memories in a paper titled "Midwife's report from Auschwitz". All 3000 babies she delivered were born alive and healthy, despite the bad health condition of their mothers. As she wrote: "In spite of the appaling filth, the teeming vermin and the rats, in spite of the infectious diseases, the lack of water and other dreadful, undescribable things, something that was most extraordinary went on there. One day a German Lagerarzt (so-called "camp doctor") told me to present a report on the postpartum infections and mortality rate for the mothers and newborns. I told him that I hadn't had a single death of a mother or neonate. He looked at me in disbelief and said that even the best German university hospitals could not boast of such a success rate. In his eyes I could see anger and hatred". She had courage to oppose even to dr Josef Mengele, famous for his experiments on people in Auschwitz, who demanded that she killed children. She was called in Auschwitz "an angel of life".

I understand her commitment to each baby as a child of God. Each birth is a miracle. Her unwavering dedication in the the face of such hardship is a testament to the fortitude of midwives.
I served as a midwife for 25 years, "delivering" over 860 babies. (I say that mothers deliver their own babies, midwives assist that delivery)

@@arnowisp6244Exactly. She was definitely a saint, and was doing much good, with sacrifice, in whole her life. And there is so much effort in various media to make up rubbish about her. In fact she is hated mainly because she was helping people to convert into Catholicisms, she's much hated for that currently.
