I heard one survivor was in the process of being gassed and she gave birth while the others around her died by gassing. Miraculously they both survived. Instead of killing her right then and there… she managed to survive even more gas showers! And the baby she gave birth to survived the equally fatal infant wards which is conveniently disguised as one, when it’s actually a gassing ward.
      Such tough people, these survivors.

My grandfather was one of the G.I.s who helped liberate Dachau at the end of WWII... He survived the horrors of the D-Day landings, fought through france and into the heart of germany itself unscathed. But he would be forever haunted by what he saw in that god forsaken place. He would wake up screaming some nights from the nightmares he'd have. When I was in high school, we took a trip to the holocaust survivors' museum. Before leaving, I stopped in the hall of remembrance and lit two votives at the niche for Dachau- one in memory of my grandfather and the other in memory of the victims. I've listened to a few survivors of the prison camps . It is unbelievable that anyone ever survived any of that.
I am always at the stories and the people telling them. I think everyone should have an opportunity to meet and listen to these people.
Without the dear, sights, smells, noone can ever truly comprehend the terrible things that these people lived through. I pray that each and every one of them finds the peace that they so deserve.
God bless each of them, all survivors of these events and the persecution that they had endured.
May we never forget just how this all came about and how easy it would be for the world to have leaders do these same things again.

As a Gypsy, people often forget that millions of my people were killed by Germans as well. Hearing this mans story reminds me of my grandfather, who had very similar stories. He hid in the forest with his 3 year old brother for 4 days to get away from Germans. He lived in Czechoslovakia. I was born in 93 and we immigrated to Canada in 98.

    • @nattygsbord
      @nattygsbord 4 месяца назад

People don't forget that gypsies were victims. Rather it seems like people pretends that jews were just a tiny minority of the victims. But in reality were 85-90% of the people killed in the holocaust jews, and the polish intelligentia was the second most harshest prosecuted group. No other minority came close to those two groups of victims in terms of numbers killed.
And the polish jews were also the prisoners in the concentration camp that the Germans liked to beat and torture the most and being most cruel towards. Life was hell for all the other prisoners, so don't get me wrong. All I am saying is that the jews had it worst. And its much thanks to the gypsie community we can know this fact. Because the gypsies died to a lesser extent and could live and survive this war to tell this story.
So the jewish community and others owe the gypsies a thanks for the help explaining what really happened inside the camps.
The nazis of course wanted to kill everyone. Gypsies and jehovas witnesses included. But it was the jews that was their main priority. The war came to an end before they had a chance to finish all their work. Put some areas like the jews in the Baltics were nearly all wiped out. And the same goes for the jews in Poland were 98% of the 3 million jews were murdered by the nazis.
Some types of victims put inside the concentration camps were less hated by the jews. German criminals was often used as assistants to the nazi guards to harass the other prisoners. And the nazis believed that homosexuality was a disease that they one day might be able to cure. But there of course many people who were beaten and killed among homosexuals, criminals and germans as well.

    God bless you, Mr. Lesser.
In the neighborhood where I grew up, a Jewish gentleman from Poland had a gift shop a couple of doors down from my parents' deli. He also was in Auschwitz, Buchenwald, and Dachau. He knew Mengele from his job working in the kitchens at Auschwitz. How he got that job is a story in itself, but suffice it to say that like Mr. Lesser he was able to think his way into a job that helped him to survive.
I would be surprised if Mr. Lesser's uncle didn't know this man. Maybe even Mr. Lesser did also. He never talked about the horrifying events from the camps, only about how he was able to fool the guards to smuggle food to some of the other inmates. GOD BLESS THIS MAN! The bravery, the courage, the sacrifice, the fortitude and selflessness this man possessed as a 15 year old boy, to face and endure such abhorrent atrocities is extremely heartbreaking!!! Mr. Lesser is exactly right with his reasoning as to why God spared him. The world NEEDS to hear these stories. Because when you forget about the past, history will be repeated!

Thank you so much Mr Lesser!
It's shocking to hear him tell his story of the atrocities, the murders, the unbelievable evil surrounding him every day, without any hate in his voice.
To be that astute at his age is beyond imagination.
I will tell your story, I will forward this interview to everyone I know.
'God needed me to survive to be a witness'.

This is not about money this is about being careful who we select as our Representative for this country check out what the Democrats are.doing, how they are carrying.that perverted old man who seems to be pleased at sight.of young girls and how he is.being held, carried, walked because HE can't move but the greed is there. The evil that makes these people want more and hurt us like Biden has with the COVID virus, and please don't tell me he had nothing to do with it because I have sale pitch for you if you don't believe. They want to get rid of the older folks because there's wisdom there & the young should NOT BE TOLD to be manageable and easily fooled, tricked think, think about it. This is a fight about good and evil my dear it's in the bible, the Jewish people have survived because they follow God's menu on what to eat and what NOT to eat, read up it's scary but God chose a tough, but wise and smart and strong people to carry this cross of hatred. Pray for all Jewish people, for Israel. Pay attention and maybe watch this commentary again, Mr. Lesser has already won the glory and heaven because of what he has lived through but has to share the terrors especially with these new generations that don't know anything only thing they know is about sex and gaming.
