I wrote this song years ago, about my failed relationship at the time, and trying to cultivate the strength I needed to GIVE UP MY FEARS and try to LOVE again. I think about applying that same idea to what’s happening in America right now. I realize there are so many parallels. Fear is what is driving all this hate! Fear is the root of the racism, and the cause of the violence. Media is instilling it in us daily, some may have learned it from their parents, and now there are certain people in our society who are scared, confused, and want to eliminate that “fear”. It stems from not understanding. With open hearts and leading the conversation not with FEAR, but with LOVE and everything that falls under it (empathy, understanding, etc) is the only way I believe we have a chance as a whole to be better! Starting from our smallest citizens at the youngest age: our kids! If we LOVE our children, lead by examples to love one another more, embrace our differences, help each other when we can, and to not give up the fight. Get up, stand up. Speak up, sing up, write, post, inspire others, or at the very least, just stay home and LOVE YOUR KIDS!!! Teach each other love and things WILL get better. ✨✨✨

🎶A past of broken hearts are gathered on the floor. A dream of brighter skies, I long for something more. Always felt like something’s missing. A deeper tingle when we’re kissing but, I love in fear with the man that I adore. So I’ve got to give up give up all my fears and TRY. I’ve got to throw my hands up hands up leave it all to the One in the sky. I’ve got to show up ready and willing for this brand new flight. That’s the only way. Our love will stand up in the fight. 🎶

This is great. Love to see an artist just doing it at home. Doing all the parts even better! What a voice you have. Unbelievable. I can't believe I haven't heard your music before today. The only reason you aren't charting in the top 40 constantly is because you haven't sold your soul to the devil. Don't do it. You don't need them - you're super talented. It may take longer and you might not make as much $$ but you'll be MUCH happier.
