The really crazy part is when the Japanese left, they left many of their own children behind who were raised by Chinese people as their own kids. These abandoned children were offered visas back to Japan a few decades ago when they were middle aged. That was the moving part raising your own murderers children as your own because you knew they were children and not responsible.
When the children abandoned by the Japanese returned to Japan, the Japanese did not regard them as compatriots, but treated them as second-class citizens. Therefore, many of them later chose to return to China because the Chinese did not discriminate against them.

Bro that's the flag of the Republic of China (ROC) now the flag of Taiwan (aka ROC) which China flew prior to the formation of the Peoples' Republic of China in 1949 by the CPC after they defeated the KMT in a civil war. The defeated KMT fled to Taiwan and continued to fly this flag claiming it governed all of China as the ROC from Taiwan. That's why there has always ever only been one China and it includes Taiwan.

Chinese language and charters definitely have changed, but not as much as languages such as English. In 21 century, Chinese people could read and understand the articles, novels and poems written 3000 years ago. In fact, many of those works are in the text book of middle schools in china nowadays. Chinese characters are invented roughly 1300 BC. They have involved. And they are unified in 221 BC in Qin dynasty by Qin Shi Huang (the guy that owns the terracotta warriors). The Chinese character in Qin dynasty are still being written as a form of calligraphy. That’s probably why Chinese civilization is the only ancient civilization that is still here today.
For most Chinese people with high-school education, reading Chinese texts written 2000 years ago is like an English person reading Shakespeare's literature. It's time-consuming. There may be misunderstandings. But the majority of the meaning is understandable.
For China, WW2 starts at 1937 when Japan attack Manchuria and end at 1945...they suffered longer than anyone else. So who can blame them for want to strengthen their military?

He saved many Chinese people during the World War II. And his grandson was also invited to attend the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. As to the statues whose names you don’t know: the first duo seems like some honorable soldier or leaders died in the war(I saw some writings from the wall behind, I can be wrong on this). The second duo is simple: one is Mao of course and the other is Zhou Enlai who’s the first Prime Minister of PRC. The third trio is Deng Xiaoping, He Long, and Liu Bocheng. Deng is the one who started the economic reform of China in 1978, famous for opening up China to the world. He Long is a famous general and Liu is also a reputable leader within cocoa during the wartime. So basically those statues are all “founding fathers” of the PRC. Of course there’s more important figures during that period and I’m sure those people’s stories are also recorded somewhere in that museum too. Now just a quick summary: In 1911 the monarchy is ended in China. From 1911-1945 China is officially run by the KMT party led initially by Sun Yat-sen（often referred as the founding father of modern China recognized by both the nationalist and the communist parties) and later led by the infamous Chiang Kai-shek. After the Japanese surrender in 1945, till 1949, KMT and CPC had a four-year civil war and CPC ended up defeating the KMT. KMT then fled to Taiwan. Since then the mainland and Taiwan were controlled by the two parties separately and the sovereignty issue never got settled. That’s why PRC always insists that the civil war of China was never ended and therefore Taiwan issue has never been fully resolved. After Chiang Kai-shek’s son took over the KMT party leader position, he later decided to make Taiwan a democratic system but never declared independence of Taiwan as a different state but rather insisted his father’s goal of taking back the mainland and thus the One China policy. The idea of each of the two parties that they are the sole legitimate government of the entirety of China has been the ultimate goal. But as the issue remained unresolved and that PRC( mainland China) has become so powerful economically, Taiwan in the past several decades have essentially forgone this goal and turned to seeking independence. From the perspective of CPC, they see Taiwan as the last crucial piece of the civil war puzzle that they have to resolve. Too much info I know. Anyways hope someone would find this helpful.😂😂😂

However the history was rarely talked about and get looked at from foreigner's perspective. The western media rarely talks about Chinese history. And you know what’s interesting is that: since around 200BC, Chinese character’s form has been stabilized, so you can say, kids in China nowadays are learning the same characters (writing language system) as 2200 years ago. Almost all educated people in China can read the writing scripts thousands of years ago. And for some iconic and simple characters, we can even recognize the form from 3-4000 years ago.

In order to protect their privileges, the Qing Dynasty chose the more complex ones, while the simplified characters chose the simpler ones. At the same time, many new characters were created and simplified on a larger scale.

The part of the KMT led by Chiang Kai-shek fled mainland China after being defeated by the Communists in 1949 and continued to maintain rule on the island of Taiwan, but in the KMT's constitution, both the mainland and Taiwan are part of the ROC.

Chinese characters are invented roughly 1300 BC. They have involved. And they are unified in 221 BC in Qin dynasty by Qin Shi Huang (the guy that owns the terracotta warriors). The Chinese character in Qin dynasty are still being written as a form of calligraphy. That’s probably why Chinese civilization is the only ancient civilization that is still here today.

Deng Xiaoping you saw is the founder of China's reform and opening-up policy. And the flag you saw in the video is used in Taiwan Province now. Because after World War II, there was another civil war between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Kuomintang, also known as the War of Liberation. A large number of workers and peasants were disappointed with the corruption of the Kuomintang, and chose communist party, which carried out land reform. Finally, in 1949, the Kuomintang was defeated and left for Taiwan Province. This is why Taiwan Province is now autonomous, and since then it has been separated from the mainland and adopted two sets of political systems. The Kuomintang was once a political force supported by the United States, until Nixon accepted the one-China principle during his visit to Chinese mainland, established diplomatic relations with Chinese mainland and abandoned Taiwan Province. The country that committed such cruel acts against us has not yet apologized for or acknowledged its crimes. As a victorious nation of World War II, China has been unable to receive an apology from its aggressors. Can you imagine European countries still unable to receive an apology from Germany? All of this is because China was too weak after the war, lacking the status and power to seek justice for itself on the international stage.
Remembering this history gives us endless strength to keep moving forward, because there are still demons that have not been punished. We must become strong. We suffered all of that, so we hope the people of Gaza can also be liberated. I am glad that my government is doing the right thing. Its position has been consistent. I am glad to see that, 75 years after the founding of the country, my government and the party have not forgotten their original mission and still stand at the forefront of the world's anti-imperialist and anti-hegemonic struggles. China has not pro-Gaza protests or activities because the Chinese government and the Chinese people's position are aligned. They represent us, we don't need to do that.

If you want to know about the brutal aspects of the Liberation War, go visit the Holocaust Memorial Hall in Nanjing, and the site of Japanese Army Unit 731 in Harbin.
As to the statues whose names you don’t know:
the first duo seems like some honorable soldier or leaders died in the war(I saw some writings from the wall behind, I can be wrong on this).
The second duo is simple: one is Mao of course and the other is Zhou Enlai who’s the first Prime Minister of PRC.
The third trio is Deng Xiaoping, He Long, and Liu Bocheng. Deng is the one who started the economic reform of China in 1978, famous for opening up China to the world. He Long is a famous general and Liu is also a reputable leader within cocoa during the wartime. So basically those statues are all “founding fathers” of the PRC. Of course there’s more important figures during that period and I’m sure those people’s stories are also recorded somewhere in that museum too.
Now just a quick summary:
In 1911 the monarchy is ended in China.
From 1911-1945 China is officially run by the KMT party led initially by Sun Yat-sen（often referred as the founding father of modern China recognized by both the nationalist and the communist parties) and later led by the infamous Chiang Kai-shek.
After the Japanese surrender in 1945, till 1949, KMT and CPC had a four-year civil war and CPC ended up defeating the KMT. KMT then fled to Taiwan. Since then the mainland and Taiwan were controlled by the two parties separately and the sovereignty issue never got settled. That’s why PRC always insists that the civil war of China was never ended and therefore Taiwan issue has never been fully resolved. After Chiang Kai-shek’s son took over the KMT party leader position, he later decided to make Taiwan a democratic system but never declared independence of Taiwan as a different state but rather insisted his father’s goal of taking back the mainland and thus the One China policy. The idea of each of the two parties that they are the sole legitimate government of the entirety of China has been the ultimate goal. But as the issue remained unresolved and that PRC( mainland China) has become so powerful economically, Taiwan in the past several decades have essentially forgone this goal and turned to seeking independence. From the perspective of CPC, they see Taiwan as the last crucial piece of the civil war puzzle that they have to resolve.

China is also standing up to the West all by herself. The West can’t believe their four-hundred-year-old global supremacy is being challenged. They hoped that the more China developed, the more it would submit to their influence, interests, and leadership. That didn’t happen. So now they will do anything possible, short of a nuclear war, to make China end.
Their goal is to destroy this country. That’s why, although the United States has killed several million people and turned several regions of the earth into hellscapes.
China is the worst fear of our planet’s Western masters. They want you to despise and dread a country that’s done nothing to you, that hasn’t invaded anyone, bombed or sanctioned anyone, that hasn’t overthrown any foreign government, or used its military on anything since 1979.
China is the only major country in the nonwhite developing world, to stand up to the West. To look it in the eye when challenged or threatened.
The Global South are simply Western puppets who submitted long ago. Even the most powerful ones. Saudi Arabia, Brazil, India.

Museum exploration is often overlooked, but in Chinese cultural tradition, history-especially the ancestor worship and lessons from the past-takes precedence over religious beliefs and provides stronger behavioral guidance. As a result, museums, which play a key role in shaping regional cultural traditions, have become increasingly important in China’s urban development,and they offer a unique perspective on how people and governments in different regions view their own regional culture,which is the purpose of city exploration in my opinion.In fact, museums often play a role in Chinese urban planning similar to that of temples and churches, connecting the ancient history that Chinese people take pride in with modern urban development.Just like the diversity of Shanghai and the relaxation of Guangzhou, Chongqing, as the wartime capital, has left a symbol of resistance in China's modern history, and it is also the common historical memory of this city. From my experience, museums are a great starting point for exploring how a Chinese city can build a positive self-image and a coherent narrative while fostering regional identity and pride among its people.
And you know what’s interesting is that: since around 200BC, Chinese character’s form has been stabilized, so you can say, kids in China nowadays are learning the same characters (writing language system) as 2200 years ago. Almost all educated people in China can read the writing scripts thousands of years ago. And for some iconic and simple characters, we can even recognize the form from 3-4000 years ago.
The scripts from thousands of years ago are in traditional Chinese tho right?
@@MacrosFTW No, traditional Chinese characters were formed during the Qing Dynasty. Before that, these characters were variants of each other. In order to protect their privileges, the Qing Dynasty chose the more complex ones, while the simplified characters chose the simpler ones. At the same time, many new characters were created and simplified on a larger scale.
@@MacrosFTW yes, the evolution of character is quite clear, not that different from simplified Chinese. Most of the simplified Chinese are based on traditional Chinese in different fonts, and Chinese are still using traditional Chinese nowadays in some art/design area, so most of Chinese (even in mainland) can recognize traditional Chinese easily.

21:07 The one in the middle is Deng Xiaoping邓小平, the one on the left is He Long贺龙, and the one on the right is Liu Bocheng刘伯承. The latter two were generals. During the Chinese Civil War, these three were the main leaders who led the Communist forces in southwestern China to defeat Chiang Kai-shek's KMT troops. Moreover, Deng was also the most important decision-maker in formulating China's reform and opening-up policy after Chairman Mao's pass away.

After the Japanese surrendered in 1945, the fought the civil war to get rid of the KMT whose army was four times larger and equipped with American weapons and planes and the PLA still prevailed because the vast majority of the people were on their side ...they are truly the "People's Liberation Army !
