Hi, very interesting video. I have a tent with a pre-made stove jack. In your opinion, for extra security, can I also install a flashing kit inside the hole of the pre-made stove jack? I have an Oxford 900d tent. Thanks
Hey! We wouldn't recommend installing a stove into an Oxford fabric tent as this is synthetic and not a breathable fabric. For the safest and most secure hot-tenting experience we advise the tent is cotton or a polycotton blend. Thanks!
Thanks for this, it's been really helpful. One question. Now that I have fitted the flashing kit etc, can I pack away the tent with it on or do I need to dismantle it every time? Thank you.
Hey Rachel, glad you found it useful. You can absolutely pack down your tent without having to dismantle the flashing kit attachment. We would however advise giving it a quick clean, polish and dry to avoid black marks or rust. Let us know if you have any other questions. - Hannah, BC x
Very nice installation! Will this also work with 210 denier poly-oxford material? Secondly, since the stovepipe fits snugly to the silicone seal of the stove jack, isn't there a possibility that movement of the fabric from unexpected wind gusts could cause the stovepipe to detach from the damper base?
Hey, thank you! Stoves can be installed in the following fabrics options found on our website: 100% Cotton and Canvas (Polycotton 200gsm & 285gsm). We do not recommend installing a stove into tents made from our Oxford fabrics as they're not breathable and flammable due to being a manmade fabric. In regards to your second enquiry, as long as you weren't pitching in winds higher than 40mph, and pitched your tent withe extra precaution, the stoves are solid enough to not dismantle whilst pitched. For windy days, we would advise adding ropes to the spark arrestor holes and pegging firmly pegging them down, minimising any movement of the flue. We hope this helps! Our maintenance guide will give you tips on pitching in windy conditions www.boutiquecamping.com/ultimate-tent-maintenance-guide-i527 - Thanks!
Hi Iva, thanks for the message. Yes, as it's a breathable material (Canvas/Polycotton) you're able to have a stove inside of a Nova Air Dome and we say 60cm from the side and 60cm from the roof/tubes. Hope this helps!

Why does it say keep the stove door open ? And won't the flashing melt or split .

Can I install in on your air dome nova tent? What distance should I keep from the inflatable poles? Thank you

Shouldn't there be support on the chimney?
Only on windy days! Most of our stoves have holes on the spark arrestors which can fit guy rope, adding extra support and stability!
Can this be used with a Vango 600 signature?
Sure any tent. but ideally a fire retardant tent. and always make sure you have plenty of ventilation.
