- The New Jupiter 125 is TVS’ first attempt to make a family oriented 125cc scooter. But if you thought that this was just a version of their extremely popular and capable Jupiter 110 with the Ntorq’s engine, then think again. The Hosur-based two-wheeler maker has developed a brand new frame and engine for this new 125cc commuter offering. With a 2 valve head, it doesn’t have the same blistering performance of the Ntorq, but offers great low to mid range acceleration - something that should be what family scooter buyers would be looking for. It also packs some segment first and segment leading features and conveniences such as a front apron mounted fuel filler, a fuel tank that sits under the floorboard and frees up 33 litres of underseat storage and even the longest seat in class. The Jupiter 125 is available in 3 variants - steel wheels with front drum brake, alloy wheels with front drum brake and a top-spec that gets alloy wheels with a front disc brake. Prices for the Jupiter 125 start at Rs 73,400 for the base model.

Kudos to TVS Engineering Team. They designed a scooter after taking feedback from customers and nailed the true pain points which Honda and Suzuki have failed. 👌

TVS has creativity added practical and sensible features in this scooter. Really a Value for Money scooter.
I remember it on the Mahindra Rodeo. Had one in the house. Very convenient to fill full when loaded up. With an amazing under seat capacity. Love that TVS has adopted this feature.

TVS went really big on practicality. I love the NTorq, but this might just be my pick of the lot considering the huge boot space alone. And I feel everyone should just switch to a multi function key slot. It just makes sense
I am not a fan of putting things in boxes. I don't believe your age or designation has anything to do with your preference of, well anything.
What I was trying to highlight is, even though the NTorq is so very fun to ride (and would have blindly chosen it if I had to get one till yesterday), I know in the long run I would appreciate the extra storage space on the Jupiter 125 more since it is something that makes a difference in your everyday routine.
Kinetic Flyte had the first fuel filler in the front. Sadly the scooter would feel very unstable in the front when the tank was close to empty as the weight in the front would drop drastically changing its balance. I hope this one doesn't suffer that and TVS has worked it out well
Not really.
First ur body and vehicles adapt to changing loads, the change happens slowly and not in a second.
U wont lost 5 litres in a second time that u feel drastic change immediately
@Kishlay Anand no i havent but stability is not based on fuel load of just vehicle.
Its on overall vehicle design and balancing and steering sir.
Its same for vehicles which have fuel tank behind but they dont become unstable out of blue just because fuel goes low ( it can be a thing too depending on vehicle )
@Kishlay Anand adding a fuel tank under foot board will give you a bonus of extra stability. If the tank is empty it’s just like every other scooter, with an empty tank behind and a tankless footboard. That’s it.
@@hiteshadhikari but what when you ride it with full tank and if someone give it you back with almost empty tank? Many may feel uncomfortable.
@@aajjaayyuk your body adapts. The only possible way ur body will find it odd is if u riding at high speed like 60-80 and suddenly somehow u lose all fuel in tank.
It would be same as ur passenger suddenly jumping from scooty and a sudden shift in weight

One interesting change that meets my 👀 , it gets maxxis rubbers. I have never seen a tvs commuter getting anything other than their own tyres

Aerox 155 also gets fuel filler in the front but it sacrifices the floor board area but Jupiter 125 gets floorboard also 🤗
Still Access is best in class with a good combination of millege, performance and comfort . these additional features will be added in their upcoming models. I am using it for the last 5 years and I love this machine . Only problem I found in it was the fuel filling. That too will be changed in the future and I am waiting for the updated Suzuki access 125. In the last 5 years I didn't face any issues with it and I still got a millege above 58 km after this rough use for the last 5 years and it's performance is what makes me love this machine. Best 125 commuter scooter .
Glad this one has the Boot light, Rear brake lock and pass light switch. Access 125 misses out on them.
Innovative! This and new maestro edge doing it differently than the rest. Kudos to Indian manufacturers. They just need to match on reliability with the likes of Honda and Suzuki. BTW, I feel chrome on this one unnecessarily overdone, never a fan of it. Takes a lot of care and once it gets scuffed, it really spoils the look of a vehicle. Also, fuel filler cap on the right would have been great and easy at petrol stations.

Option to store 2 Helmets is really useful as both driver and pillion need to wear helmet. That one reason is enough to get more buyers.
Tvs is superb... Can take on it's rivals with success. Jupiter 110 is still an exciting scooter, this 125 scooter should be a huge hit in Indian roads soon.
The headlight design reminds me of first gen Apache 150!

I had a test ride and I am impressed. As I saw many videos, I feel that it can offer a better mileage. The only concern is no kick start! 🤔... You can not start this scooter if battery fails. Now a day's in lock down use of vehicles are minimum battery charge goes down if we do not run the vehicles. This scooter has so many features which consume the battery. It will create a problem for sure. Please clarity this points....

Hey, does anyone remember the Kinetic Blaze? Real beast it was.
i have a 2011 rodeo which had front fuel lid, rodeo was amazing back then, but i regret buying rodeo over activa because now rodeo looks very old, breaks down very often, not comfortable to ride, i recently bought tvs 125 disc and im loving it, my old rodeo is still in garage because it hardy has any reselling price so its better to keep it than sell it for peanuts. But tvs Jupiter 125 is great and i hope it dosent lose its market like rodeo in future.😎
I just bought my Jupiter 125cc on 12may 2023 home for complete cash payment 1.18 lakhs, including insurance policy etc. I'm not a scooty lady but will be trained in my new Jupiter orange scooty. I'm very happy with the colour, appearance but worried about it being quite heavy scooty for a learner as pretty said by everyone. I'm 5:75 feet tall and feel like I could do let's see. So wish me luck for my journey with my husband's birthday gift to me when turning 43yrs old. Thnx

It's definitely value for money. 2 helmets can be stacked under seat. With 12 inch wheels both front and back comfort is unbeatable. 10.5Nm torque coming at 4500 rpm makes it the best city commuter. Most of scooter riders need low and mid range torque rather than top end.

Minus points:
Activa 6G / 125:
1. Bad footrest for pillion.
When my friend comes and I sit back, I cannot remove the footrest by leg. I have to ask him to stop and then remove footrest by hand. Jupiter 125 is good as we can remove the foot rest with leg as the footrest has a kind of bulge to remove easily. Dumping Activa 125 for this only reason.
Jupiter 125:
1. Digital meter should have been quite big and in Middle.

while i completely can't come to terms with fuel running below my feet.. I still questioning the way the fuel cap opens..dont u think that the flip open style is a lil too dangerous or unsafe for us here? i was actually having high hopes for this vehicle but tht fuel tank area is a complete downer..i will be going to book a scooter in the morning..had high hopes on this one..il probably will go have a look..but i think il end up booking a access 125

I live in turkey, I researched this tvs jupiter in store. There are flaws in the plastic parts. Some parts are not installed properly, there are too many manufacturing defects.

Mahindra rodeo 125 was first front fuel tank scooter and I am a proud owner of it for sure 🔥❤️ It still has power enough to run over Activa bs4. Only lose is its bit low on milage

Isnt it hazardous to carry a gas cylinder on the foot board under which there is a fuel tank? I am a little uncomfortable with the placement of the fuel tank. :/

I am sure, many won't even remember this scooter. It was Hero Winner which had a front petrol tank with a lockable flap.
