Factorio is all about efficiency. the one most immediate challenge you'll face, is the bugs: the bugs WILL come, it's just a matter of *when* , *where* , and *how* . "how", you can't control.... it's up to each nest and their spawning mode. "where", you can half control: you can reinforce the points where you're suffering attacks, and leave others vulnerable where you don't get attacks... the bugs will always try to take the shortest path. "when", you most definitely CAN control, because the bugs won't attack you unless they spot you (which you can control by positioning yourself away from them), and won't attack you unless they smell you. Which you can control by not polluting their environment, which you can't stop doing, but *can* regulate, by polluting less, for the same result. hence, *efficiency* don't go out producing lots of products unless you need them, and always use what you produce towards improving what you have. even if you're 100% efficient, there's the random factor: bugs will go out on patrol randomly, trying to establish a new nest. in these random patrols, they might spot you and trigger an attack. you can't do much against that, except keeping your footprint as small as possible for as long as possible.
@@alessioantinoro5713 exactly... that's something I exploited when I could figure out the debug information, but it's too complex for a newbie to understand.

Yeah bro

You can control the patrol by building in the chunk, that chunk will be less likely be eligible for expansion

@@bcn1gh7h4wk Yeah that's some advanced player stuff, but it's always nice say it exists
Your almost religious refusal to build more than the absolute minimum number of things is truly infuriating
every new player goes through this haha
The factory must grow.
