I was really hoping they would have redeemed Donovan's character at some point. There was a slight glimmer and then he went right back to being a prick.
Real
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't like how they retconned Donovan into being a bad person when Nyla was the one who blew up their cordial relationship. Nyla was the reason their daughter was traumatized, and yet Donovan still encouraged Nyla to have a relationship with her. He was a good guy until they decided that Nyla couldn't possibly do anything wrong ever.

"Nyla Hahpah!! It's Skip Traceh RAHNDY!!
Ach, meine Freundin, you von't be-LEEF vot I fount on ziss Penelope PAIR-son!!"😂
Given that this man also tried to keep their daughter away from nyla during mother's Day... I don't think he has any right to talk. I don't care if this was before or after that episode.
I had Donavon. He’s such a weird manipulator in that he will do whatever it takes to separate Nyla and Lyla in what is seemingly a vindictive move motivated by his hatred of his wife.
I think hes kind of justified the mother of his child stopped all contact with him and his daughter for 4 years in one of the most important time in the growing stage of a child for them to be with there parents and then when she comes back she immediately wanted at least 60% custody Im pretty sure she actually wanted more at the start but went down to this
@BRBrodie not really darlin..... It was Way More complicated but The Main Issue I have with him is he keeps using **her being away ({For Her Dangerous Job}) as an excuse but wants to seem like the good guy in front of the daughter, Lila. **Harper basically took a kind of Demotion at work ({when she could have Chosen AnyThing!}) so she could reconnect with Lila. **She's been toeing the line with His Terms trying to keep peace. **Harper Admitted that His Fiance was Amazing with Lila, BUT **He Constantly Threw The Past In Her Face Like A Brick & Wouldn't Even Try To Consider A Compromise when Harper tried to find a middle ground. She tried to Calmly Talk To Him about him NOT Taking Lila away & he just Blew Her Off.
She didn't Ever Just Show Up & Demand Rights. She crawled on eggshells to do it right to show Him & Lila that she was sincerely Dedicated.
@BRBrodie i mean *Please, Don't Get Me Wrong*,... He was Kinda Mostly Justified in wanting to *Carefully* ReIntroduce Harper to **Their Daughter, Lila🙃Lyla**... I 💯% Get That! BUT This Clip is A Ways After All That & Harper based her actions on The Fact that it was Her Own Place to Ease In. *HowEver; This Clip is After* they'd been making it work for A While. **Lyla/Lila Was Happily Getting To Know Her Mom Again"* & THEN Dad Donovan **Declares He's Moving Away, Him + Fiance Are Taking Daughter, BUT when Harper tries to have a Calm Convo About it He Just Blew Her Off & Chose Not To Even Attempt/Pretend To TALK It Out..... ***No Sir*** Harper did EvErYtHiNg She Could To Avoid Bringing *Fiance's Past* Into It Cuz Even HARPER Stated Penelope Was Awsome With The Lila ({*the same way Dad Kept Throwing Harpers Past & Dangerous JOB in Her face, Another time He Was Gonna Have Her Arrested for Trying to protect Lyla when she Couldn't Reach Him*}).... So NO SIR,... You Don't Get To Behave Like A Petulant Child, But Get Grown Up Results. Donavon Didn't Leave Harper Much If A Choice, Unfortunately 💫
