    This is a very good and clear video. You can see that this video was created to teach and not to show off (many other "how to load and pop" videos show you somebody doing some very cool moves instead of clearly drilling down the basics). Thank you very much.

      Thanks for the positive feedback. Yes, we do try to teach and not just make a cool looking video which usually is accompanied with very minimal instructions and just repeated video sequences in slow motion.

      My jumps look exactly like what you show at 0:15. I knew I was missing the "load and pop" effect, but this video has confirmed it and explained clearly what I have to do. Now I just need more time in the water :)

    POWER! One thing she doesn't mention is power. I tried this for a week then one day when i was feeling what i used to think was slightly overpowered, I finally got a great load and pop. When you pull the bar towards you, you should feel tons of power and pull. If not, your kite may be too small. Or you need to wait for a gust! I bet this is the real most common mistake. GREAT VIDEO!!

    Hi,
    you need a medium amount of speed to get some decent height on your pop. It is not necessary to go top speed but the faster you go, the more height the pop will give you.

    Can it also be done with small amount of speed?
    Or do I really need to surf with a lot of speed?

    Hi, what is the right timing of sheeting in and out of the bar?
    When I load I have to sheet in, when I go upwind I have to sheet out and when I jump I have to sheet in again?

    +Alwayswindy Thanks for the informative video. How do you convert the load and pop into regular jumps and back rolls?

    • @alwayswindykite
      @alwayswindykite  7 лет назад +3

      Have a look at our backroll video to see how to integrate a rotation into the load and pop. For regular jumps you simply need to add the kite motion. That means, send the kite back as you load and just as the kite passes 12 o´clock, pop out and pull the bar in. If there is time, we plan to shoot some fresh instructional addressing kite assisted jumps. Stay tuned.

  • @sk8stf

    Thank you very much, very good explications, but i don t understand somes words (i m french, sorry) Can you write the words between 2.32 minutes and 2.45 please. At 3.40 what do you mean for "kicking out back leg" ? :-)

    • @alwayswindykite
      @alwayswindykite  7 лет назад

      We will be doing a new version of this video very soon and it will have subtitles too. With "kicking out" we mean it is important to really straighten your back leg (lock the knee) so you get the maximum push from it. Think of itas if you were trying to jump towards the kite by pushing with your back leg away from the water.

    • @sk8stf
      @sk8stf 7 лет назад

      +Alwayswindy thx , i am waiting for your new vidéo. when i will be ready for that move, i send my vidéo 😁

    • @jaredbaglietto7429
      @jaredbaglietto7429 7 лет назад +1

      Alwayswindy thanks for the video. I've had one lesson for learning to jump and have spent it trying to work on the load and pop. I was however instructed on that lesson not to completely straighten back leg out as it could over-extend the back of the board and lose the load. It felt like that at times for me. Your comments please.

    • @alwayswindykite
      @alwayswindykite  7 лет назад +1

      If you dont kick, you dont jump. There is no such thing as over extending when doing the pop however what is likely the problem in your case is timing. If you leave it for too late, then that would stop you from getting any pop. Kick out earlier and I am sure you will get a solid pop.
