@@MrGHows You are still wondering what might have gone wrong? Cast your mind back to China of that year and the scandal Ron Denis was trying to manage. Then bring-in Max Mosley who reportedly said that allowing SLH win the championship in his first year will bring the sport into unrepairable disrepute! So, he ordered Ron to make sure that did not happen, if not, McLaren will not only pay a $100mill fine but be excluded from the 2008 championship. That was what SLH was referring to. But I am sure he has more details than what we all saw that year.

Finally someone else noticed. But I personally think it goes deeper. I believe the drivers are doing protest races where they control the out come. Now not every race! But when MBS announced he was going to do more races with sprint and we went into Monico. LeCerlk won his home gp under not only the slowest race we've ever seen but with the least overtakes (1 outside of the top ten) and the fastest lap being 10secs faster than the leaders. Then we went racing as usual until Silverstone.
Now before everyone explodes on me I'm British and I was screaming for joy at 3 brits out front. Although I'm not a Hamilton fan I cheered him and lando on to the end.
BUT it was weird that before any cars were on the track all anyone was talking about was Lewis winning, after all he hasn't shown that kind of pace in 2.5yrs. Practice and qualifying mercs do amazing as do McLaren. On to the amazing race where driver's skills are on full display, battles and overtaking without drs, wet racing with and without inters... maintaining a 2.5 sec gap to Lewis on soft tyres when the mediums are the best tyre and you have a new set??? Vasteppen driving like he's brain dead can't hit an apex or be within a meter of a curb in the 1st stint??? That's Mazapin levels of incompetence. Then Max's last stinton the worst tyre the hard predicted to be upto a sec slower than a yother tyre... Max blast out consecutive fastest laps his car in p.anted like it's on rails, he's hitting every apex, every curb ( Max for the last 4 plus races complaining he can't curb in this new car now he's doing it on damp drying curb with hard tyres). Oscar on the mediums is doing the same at around the same pace. Max 6-8secs back, Oscar 10secs back. The race commentators say nothing about their incredible pace until Max passes Lando. Then as Lewis slows his lap time so does Max instead of 0.5secs faster it now 0.3secs to end with Max 1.5secs behind Lewis.
I believe this was a protest race directed squarely at MBS and the FIA. We the drivers can controlthe race. Remember these guys can drive within hundreds of a sec per lap every lap. Set a slightly slower pace and it's ready to go.

@F1Chronicle you are right up to a point - you have not gone back far enough in the timeline regarding how and why the relationship soured between BSM and Hamilton. It all started around the time Hamilton was promoting equal rights for women and the LGBTQ community in Arabic countries that races were held. I think MBS hadn’t been in post that long but shortly after Hamilton (and other drivers like Vettel) started coming out in support wearing rainbow t-shirts and other stuff , the powers that be suddenly decided to enforce the no jewellery rule for drivers. As usual some jumped on the fact that Hamilton was breaking the rules, when actually that rule had been in place for years but never been policed……until now. That’s one hell of a coincidence hahaha. Interestingly, it wasn’t just Hamilton who fell foul of this but at least one other driver still on the grid as well - a fact lost on many as they all jumped on the ‘Hamilton breaking the rules’ bandwagon’. Its around about then that Vettel made a comment about ‘ what are they going to do next, check our underwear?’ In short don’t go to Muslim countries and lecture them about womens rights or rights for the LGBTQ community and expect a sympathetic ear as one gets in the West……especially don’t do it when the head of the organisation that is running the sport is himself a Muslim lol.
The way 2021 ended also added fuel to the fire. To give a bit of balance it’s worth noting that, as with any person in power, MBS isn’t just taking action on his own - he is clearly taking guidance from others (some with with vested interests) so though I do blame him up to point, there is more to it than just MBS ….much like how most leaders of countries have a load of people giving them advice/guidance on certain topics. 😂
Lastly, we got to the bottom of the Christian Horner ‘accusations about improper behaviour’ saga (carried out in-house) but we never found out who spread the lies about Suzie Wolff, or the lies that Mercedes were sabotaging Hamilton’s car (up until the most recent British GP. I should flag that with regards to the first point, the lady in question who worked at the FIA was only there for a short term contract. MBS actually came out in said individual’s defence. Anyway one wonders, why we get to the bottom of certain things, but others remain unanswered.

It was a horrible decision. On another note, someone edited my comment up top that mentioned Tt. Tt was distraught but the last two years have been unacceptable. Engineers are too smart to fall that far behind. When you look at the interaction on Netflix you can see the disdain, jealousy, and disrespect Merc engineers had/have for Lewis. It was clear! Yes, they want to win but engineers would rather do ok with Lewis in the car than beat Max. Is Mohamed Ben Sulayem popular with anyone in F1?
He has had some awkward moments with Christian Horner, accusations of his corruption were not specifically aimed at Hamilton, the allegation against Suzi Wolf were generally criticised, and the spate about jewellery that he did have with Hamilton relatively minor.
He took over after Abu Dhabi fiasco, so he wasn't to blame for that, although he didn't do much to put things right either. His response to Red Bull breeching the cost cap was weak and when he has attempted throw his weight around he has firmly been told to get back in his box.
Mohamed Ben Sulayem reign as FIA president has been pretty innocuous I doubt Lewis Hamilton has got any more or less respect for him than anyone else up and down the pit lane. Nothing much has improved since he was appointed FIA President.

He's a croock with a lot of money, that's all. He 's a bit schizophrenic towards Hamilton, always persecuting him for anything possible: wearing jewels outside of paddock, wearing his custom made clothes, his lifestyle etc. Always trying to find a way to punish him (through fines or nonsensical criticism over the media regarding topics that are none of his business). There's proof of his sick obnoxious behavior in Drive to Survive season 2 or 3 I believe, prior to the drivers parade at the start of one of the events in 2021, he was recorded talking to Jos Verstappen in the middle of the paddock while multiple VIPs were roaming throughout, when suddenly Hamilton passes by with Angela Cullen (his trainer) and unbeknownst to him, Sulayem looks at Hamilton from behind for a couple of seconds with a sick face like he's anger himself, then tells Jos something like "we have to destroy this guy", and the whole situation was recorded by the Netflix crew with audio and everything.

It would be crazy to think that Red Bull are not huge fans of MBS. They have benefitted massively from his actions and inactions than any other team on the grid. As you have mentioned above, he did nothing to correct the FIA admitted cheating (Masi breaking the rules of the sport at the most critical time of the race and championship targeting a different outcome), he also did nothing substantial regarding the championship although the 2021 Red Bull was illegal (broke the cost cap rules) and that positioned their car the continue the success resulting from their overspending into the new formula that went into effect in 2022. No proper investigation was done into sexual harassment claims against Horner earlier this year. But he was quite diligent in going after the main opponents of Red Bull (Mercedes) on trivial things such as the sham Suzi Wolf complaint and enforcing the Jewellery ban targeting mainly on particular Mercedes driver. It is already a sport that lacks a level playing field without guys like MBS corrupting it further.

TBH, those issues were minor, they did not affect Lewis directly, MBS's conduct did not matter much to Lewis, but what did matter most to Lewis was when in 2021 Abu Dhabi Title Robbers and cheaters robbed Sir Lewis of his 8Thh World Title, and MBS then joined F1 as President n 2022,he never opened a thorough and fair investigations, and tried to put the matter right, He even announced that Lewis would be penalised for not attending the F1 Victory Celebrations held in Paris, imagine someone robs your wife from you and invites you to attend his wedding, no way on this planet anyone with a sane mind would attend that wedding, So F1 made no attempts to right the wrong, In the end TRUTH prevails, and Sir Lewis is 8 times World Champion, and those who stole his title are ROBBERS.

Where does it say, you or any “fan” should or needs to know all the inter workings of any sports operation? If you watch or read about an event, you know the outcome, unless you are part of the team that’s all you know. You don’t know how your government works,or anything about the company you pay to deliver your electricity. Quite frankly, odds are good, you don’t know all the inter workings of your own family. So be it.

What a comment! There are really good journalists (not only English language) within F1 and there have been for years. These excellent journalist are in the mix and report on what they hear and observe. These excellent journalists have written/spoken about the FIA, Sulayem and his unethical practices. Jean Todt thought that Sulayem has no character and lacks integrity. Todt should know. So, I don’t understand your point and I don’t think that you are really understanding just how unseemly and toxic is Sulayem.

Personally, I have never liked the FIA President Mohamed Ben Sulayem for several reasons. His leadership style often comes across as overly authoritative, which can stifle the collaborative spirit necessary in motorsport governance. Additionally, his decisions sometimes appear to be more self-serving rather than in the best interest of the sport. His handling of various controversies and issues within the FIA has frequently lacked transparency, further diminishing my confidence in his ability to lead effectively. Finally, his approach to implementing new regulations seems hasty and not always well-considered, leading to unnecessary confusion and disruption within the racing community.

MBS is quite possibly corrupt, but this video is a fairly biased view of it. Your first example here is that MBS said the Vegas grand prix wasn't ready, and the issues that ensued proved him right.
Your third example is that he alleged that a husband and wife are sharing information. Most married people would agree that the chances of something slipping out are extremely high.
Again, not saying don't make the video, but I feel like it's a pretty poor effort. It comes across as if you are a Lewis fan who's looking to slander MBS just because Lewis doesn't like him.
Maybe that was your goal, in which case well done. If not, then dig deeper and look for more concrete examples.

He had just had is weight taken he was upset as well as emotionally charged , his visor was half down and MBS was immediately on his right hand side I don’t think Lewis really knew or actually saw who it was ! So needs to be taken with a pinch of salt!
