Narratively I think it’d be odd for Robin’s quest for knowledge to suddenly be ended by an external source of everyone finding out. The build up of everything she’s been learning clue by clue, all to have done nothing and be ended abruptly early from someone else’s actions? Her journey and background and abilities and purpose would be rendered meaningless- she could still uniquely find Laugh Tale and maybe ancient weapons, but learning the true history was always as big if not a bigger part of her role in the story Some version of this involving Punk Records makes sense, but for everyone to find out would be a bit of a disappointing slap in the face to Robin’s character even if the dodgy logistics of it worked out
I mean it's not like vegapunk knows the entire void century, the destruction of punk records would reveal more about the world governments atrocities in recent times more than it would secrets of the void century and anything that punk records would release about the void century more than likely robin already knows about
I agree. Having the worlds history fully blasted out to everyone makes Robin‘s journey kind of irrelevant, and it also makes the One Piece treasure, that think that when found is supposed to turn the world upside down, far less important. Like… if the world is already at war then who even cares about what the one piece is at that point. Unless… it really is the friends we made along the way.
@MrMorj I saw a recent theory that the egghead incident coincides with the 1 month prediction Hawkins made in Wano. About Luffy/Zoro having 19% to live by the end of the month. How do you think that will work with this theory?
First, you’re right this is gonna happen. Second, I wonder if Usopp will have a key role in releasing Punk Records in the same way he defeated Sugar. Could make sense with him currently stone to throw us off the trail
Ussop was the one who defeated Sugar. And remember, Suger wasn't giving a shit before that. It is the first time she got surprised by something. Now, can Imu laugh? Maybe not. Maybe Luffy is the one, the first one who will make her laugh. One more thing. only two straw hats did harm a celestial dragon in Sabaody arc: Luffy and Ussop. In addition to that, they are the only two who are called God in the story (among all pirates). They both have a cartooned representation (Sogeking and Nika-Tom and Gerry in real life). Sanji is another one that harmed a celestial dragon in Dressrosa and he is one of the germa that are heroes in One Piece World's comics. Luffy's dream is maybe the resolve of the misery of the world and maybe Ussop is more important than we think.
Usopp to me has always been a "potential Joyboy" like Roger, Ace, Noland in that he embodies a lot of traits he just lacks the strength. Usopp makes people around the world laugh, he brings hope and has sun energy. Usopp might have been Joyboy if Yasopp told Shanks he wanted to go see his kid for minutes instead of being a deadbeat.
@@Warkurus it's been 800 years since someone awakened it. In the short term offing luffy and trying to get a hold of the fruit again might be the only viable option left. The damage being dealt by him being left alive might be irreparable.
@@Lanselot2069 "In the short term offing luffy" It reads like you believe 'Dead or Alive' means 'preferably alive'. But it means whatever is easier for the bounty hunter. Following your argument the only way to reliably kill Luffy is to give the Marines the direct order to do so and not rely on another Emperor to do the job. How long did it take for someone to appear to take down Kaido and Big Mom? No, the Marines would do the job now, not sometime in the future. So 'only dead' makes no sense. It would be purely symbolic.
Amazing theory, so far best theory this year. Another hind could be the building on the left side at 10:55 minutes. It looks like Punk Records upside down and inside out.
#GambareMorj !!! This theory fucking slaps!!! Im definitely on the boat that the world somehow gets the knowledge stored in the Records . The only thing worse than what happened to O'Hara could be VegaPunk uncovering more about the void century than they did and having that information actually get leaked out to the world. How it happens I've no clue. But it definitely feels like it's happening .Next major theory right here guaranteed. even if it's not spot on
I think York could possibly be planning this very scenario. She represents Vegapunk's desire, and what he wants is for punk records to be accessible by everyone , so she has taken matters into her own hands to see it through
@@skylergalusha9571 Probably cause other Vegapunks are much diffrent than York,so she will eleminate all so she don't get problems about somone to stop her.
@@Derezedd Well i think, they would try stop her with Vegapunks, reason why she want eleminate all.Plus i think she will try save everyone memory for some next research? Not sure.
I dont think punk records can simply directly connect to everybody simultaneously and instantly somehow let them not only know, but understand and comprehend everything that it holds. I think Vegapunk will gather everything from Punk Records and convert it into the form of a Memory using Kuma (somehow) and then maybe use Kumas other abilities OR something that Kuma gets from the Red Line to then transfer these memories to every living person.
Saturn in mythology is a God of generations and wealth, but is also a figure of 'periodic renewal and liberation.' During the celebration of Saturnalia a common revelry of the people was the reversal of roles. Taking the idea that Saturn, as one of the Gorosei, is a figure of suppression his role being reversed would mean he could become one of liberation. But this character isn't likely to bend at this point in the story so how does this role reversal happen? It would likely happen when Luffy, in a mirror of his moment with Charloss, launches Saturn into Punk Records for his actions (maybe the death of Vegapunk?) becoming himself the very catalyst for the release of this information to the whole world, fulfilling the idea of a role-reversed suppressor. It would mean that Luffy still ultimately caused the records destruction.
It's also important to point out that vegapunk is modeled after einstein. Many may not know this but einstein was a very political person, he was initially a liberal and was a founding member of a liberal party but later in life he got fed up with capitlaism and the contraditions that gave birth to fascism and became a socialist and even wrote an article called "why socialism?" that pointed all his reasons why people should moe past capitailsm. However keep in mind that was also against authoritarian versions of socialism. Thus einstein was a political "maverik" who did not like any of the systems of his time. And also was a futurist who dreamt of a future of abundance, democracy, freedom and equality. Vegapunk being modeled after eistein is a plot point if you know his history.
I don't think the destruction of Punk Records is the catalyst for Imu's reveal, but I do think what the "shocking incident" the narrator is referring to is though some other methods. Perhaps Saturn accidentally reveals it the way Spandam reveals the buster call to enies lobby or maybe the upcoming battle is recorded on a den den mushi (like what Buggy did during Marineford) which shows the world the Government's secret weapon. Morgans would definitely take the opportunity to publish as many papers as possible about either of these revelations.
Continuing on with the parallels with this theory, it would be cool for Usopp to be the catalyst for the destruction of punk records. He was the one who shot down the WG Flag in Enies Lobby, and also the one who took out sugar.
I will love it when we come to a point that even random marines will rip out their uniforms with 'justice' in it when they realized they have been on the wrong side of justice all along.
If the World Government decides to "cleanse" the world, how would the world of One Piece recover from it? In the Whole Cake Island Arc, the Vinsmoke Family has been shown to have the technology to clone human beings. In the current arc, we find out that Stussy is a clone and that the Seraphims are another type of artificial human life. My theory is that the World Government has the means to repopulate after their "cleansing" through the use of cloned humans.
I think it’s kinda of hard to believe all of the civilian and fotter could handle that intel seems a bit much. But if they transport this info to a little big birdie this theory gains some ground 😮
"Someday, someone will appear, carrying the history of all those decades on his back and challenge the world to a fight." What if this is literal? Luffy carrying the true history across the world
I have a feeling there is going to be a twist. I think imu might be the "good guy" here. He was probably trying to protect the world from joyboy who was causing chaos by granting people's wish/dream/desire.
@@Dave_of_Mordor that is completely illogical and goes against everything oda has been setting up. It’s guaranteed that joy boy was good and imu is bad
@@Dave_of_Mordor well the government and the pirates already represent good qualities to some extent as well despite being so flawed... The Pirates represent Freedom but ignore peace&order while being free. They do whatever they want and depending on the person...it might be good or evil(but let's be real here, 99% of pirates in op ARE EVIL, just one percent are like luffy, Roger, wb, shanks etc.) The Marines represent Peace&Order but ignore Freedom in order to maintain peace and order. The reason why the WG is flawed is because of it's rulers, I believe 99% of marine SOLDIERS are good people who just wants to protect, REMEMBER that there are almost 20 MILLION islands in the op world and many marine soldiers protect many of those islands from terrible pirates. Those marine soldiers are just too scared that they'll be labelled "EVIL" by the wg if they go against the wg when they as the one with power decides who's right and who's wrong, so these guys convince themselves that "This one might seem wrong, but this is for the future of the world and the wg is always right since they protect us so they must be right about this too". One of my favorite things about one piece is that the two main groups of the story are BOTH SCUM. As kidd said in sabaody..."scum creates more scum". The marines violate the freedom of people to maintain peace(/celestial dragon bs)who grow up to be pirates and as these pirates violate the people of the world...more oppression was necessary to put down these pirates.
@@michaeldavid145 we don't know all that much about joyboy. All we know is that he helps free slaves and he represents freedom. The word "freedom" here is pretty important. For all we know he could have gotten carried away with granted desires and wishes for people, giving them complete freedom across the world and they wreak havoc. Imu thought that the only way to stop them was to suppress everyone's freedom because it was the only way to stop the chaos. So he teamed up with a bunch of other kingdoms to fight joyboy's kingdom
@@Dave_of_Mordor would make no sense, luffy inherits joy boys will, luffy is the saviour of the world, the objectively good guy, therefore joy boy will be similar.
The fact that Oda decided to make Vegapunk’s mind, a subject that’s been hyped up for almost decades, into a physical tangible thing had me convinced from the start that it would be destroyed
Morj your production values have skyrocketed. Which isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy your videos before! But damn dude, everything is looking so professional. Congrats man.
such an interesting theory 9:59 made me imagine usopp, the master of lies, being the one to trigger this unveiling of the gov's lies like he did with Sugar
I like this theory but rather than it being Luffy, I'd appreciate it mirroring the Nightmare of Baldimore incident that Franky caused when he Destroyed Vegapunk's original Lab mistaking the button for a Jolly Roger, perhaps that's why Oda wrote for only half of Franky's body being petrified.
This is a really good theory. I had always theorized that this same event would come about from Morgan's being given the scoop of a lifetime, many lifetimes. As he's already shown willingness to rebel against the government despite being its mouthpiece
I just thought of this. The will of D is actually the will of Joyboy. That guy who had (or was the origin of) the Nika fruit that makes luffy's laugh like crazy when awaken. The will that makes people of his clan laugh when they die. It's as if he used his Nika power back then to make every descendant of his clan smile when facing death.
I keep going back to this video because of amount of developments that took place. The revolutionaries gaining more support, Cross Guild getting normal citizens to attack Marine officials, creating distrust, and with Wapol knowing the truth about Imu and is with Morgans. It feels like Egghead will be the straw that broke the world.
Don't think that's going to happen, because if it would, that means everyone in the world would have the same Knowledge as VEGAPUNK, not just about the void century, but the mental capabilities of Vegapunk. Imagine Luffy having that ammount of knowledge, it wouldn't make much sense for him to still be an idiot. And even if it only goes to people OUTSIDE the island (so we can have dumb-Luffy yet), that would mean all the randoms on the world would now have Vegapunk's knowledge... Doesn't seen a good thing (story-wise). The only thing I think could work is if they do it on purpose, releasing ONLY the Void Century knowledge somehow, then, that would be an AWESOME twist (and great theory)
Egghead is an egg. An egg is made to hatch, and release into the world the creature contained inside. Vegapunk's knowledge, in the form of Punk Records, is the creature contained in this particular egg.
It will be not Vegapunk's knowledge that will be spread..... It will be of Kuma's Memory..... Everyone in the world will live through Kuma's life.... A kind royalty who is framed as a Tyrant... A discriminate unique race... Slave... Pirate.. Revolutionaries.... It will do the same thing as Vegapunk's Knowledge but much more sadder and powerful......
To add a small fun sidenote to this theory, Vegapunk and punk records have multiple nods to Daft Punk, and one of their most famous songs is “Around the World” so the destruction of Punk Records will be heard “around the world”
I agree with most of what he says up until the point of luffy breaking the punk record, but i think the brain waves have a range and that range is just the egghead island meaning everyone in egghead island will know the true history. The rest of the world will know about everything from big news morgan who will somehow come near egghead to uncover what is really happening in egghead
This cn also be what stops the Kidd and Shanks fight as well as the Law vs BB fight This has to be one of the best theories Ive ever watched no reaching or jumping through loops great job morj

This is actually genius
Yeah I can imagine Imu blasting egghead and the egg shooting into space and becoming a satellite or something crazy like that. I’m excited for the rest of one piece man. Maybe that blast will even wake that robot up and give gang time to escape 😅
Thats even better.
imu blasting egghead is pointless
@@512kw with the straw hats being on egghead disrupting their current plan to wipe out the Vega punks why would destroying egghead be pointless, he just wiped out a island to interrupt a phone call with sabo
@@jayvell5539 cause a buster call is currently in progress, imus power is supposed to erase everybit of what is in there, even it existence, not to send a message like the buster call
@@512kw I’m not getting the difference honestly the last buster call was supposed to erase everything. Vega punk and other loose ends made that buster call sorta pointless. Imu not blasting the island doesn’t make sense
A buster call destroys Ohara and erases all of its research, and a buster call destroys punk records releasing all of Oharas research to the world.
1:33 actual smooth transition
Narratively I think it’d be odd for Robin’s quest for knowledge to suddenly be ended by an external source of everyone finding out. The build up of everything she’s been learning clue by clue, all to have done nothing and be ended abruptly early from someone else’s actions? Her journey and background and abilities and purpose would be rendered meaningless- she could still uniquely find Laugh Tale and maybe ancient weapons, but learning the true history was always as big if not a bigger part of her role in the story
Some version of this involving Punk Records makes sense, but for everyone to find out would be a bit of a disappointing slap in the face to Robin’s character even if the dodgy logistics of it worked out
I mean it's not like vegapunk knows the entire void century, the destruction of punk records would reveal more about the world governments atrocities in recent times more than it would secrets of the void century and anything that punk records would release about the void century more than likely robin already knows about
How do you think that will work with this theory?
i saw that reddit post too, it was all horse shit tbh
That thumbnail is perfection. Thats exactly how I picture the world ending 🤣
Absolute awesome point Morj!!
Morj is the best for theories, he has always been
First, you’re right this is gonna happen. Second, I wonder if Usopp will have a key role in releasing Punk Records in the same way he defeated Sugar. Could make sense with him currently stone to throw us off the trail

What a Banger thumbnail!
Best One Piece youtuber.
Thank you for not listening to GLR scumbag tactics and staying true to yourself.
🤡
It’s Morjin time
It's Morjin time
i can see luffy getting an "only dead" bounty poster. he's literally too dangerous to be left alive for the WG so they go "his head or nothing"
No, because then they lose his devil fruit again. If the WG gets him alive, then they can get hold of it just like Caesar.
That sounds so hype
Everyone: This is fragile, we should be careful with it....
Luffy: 👁👄👁
Amazing theory, so far best theory this year. Another hind could be the building on the left side at 10:55 minutes. It looks like Punk Records upside down and inside out.
You're hitting straight jackpots lately Morj, well fucking done
#GambareMorj !!! This theory fucking slaps!!! Im definitely on the boat that the world somehow gets the knowledge stored in the Records . The only thing worse than what happened to O'Hara could be VegaPunk uncovering more about the void century than they did and having that information actually get leaked out to the world. How it happens I've no clue. But it definitely feels like it's happening .Next major theory right here guaranteed. even if it's not spot on
I think York could possibly be planning this very scenario. She represents Vegapunk's desire, and what he wants is for punk records to be accessible by everyone , so she has taken matters into her own hands to see it through
I think York bit off more than she can chew. Why should the world govt. Keep their promise. York is a vegapunk. Vegapunk knows too much, York included
Why would she have to betray Stella to do that?
@@skylergalusha9571 Probably cause other Vegapunks are much diffrent than York,so she will eleminate all so she don't get problems about somone to stop her.
yeah but york wanted to be a celestial.. why would she do this ?
@@Derezedd Well i think, they would try stop her with Vegapunks, reason why she want eleminate all.Plus i think she will try save everyone memory for some next research? Not sure.
You cookin like crazy Morj. Shout out 👨🍳🍳🔥
OMGGG i was thinking the same thing, I am glad you were able to break down this in such manner.
Mr. Morj is finally back on track... Good reasoning.
Morj analysis hit different!
Man, you truly nail these videos. This was excellent.
Its not going to be luffy who triggers the war, it will be the legendary usoppp
Another common Mr morj W. Great Video W man
Omg that would be EPIC and I could totally see it happening like this ^^
Thanks for sharing the idea / theory, haha !
This video was so much better than i expected before clicking it
Saturn in mythology is a God of generations and wealth, but is also a figure of 'periodic renewal and liberation.' During the celebration of Saturnalia a common revelry of the people was the reversal of roles.
This reminds me of the saying in the bible; in John 8:32. “Then you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free”
morj is the best one piece youtuber by a mile
"Someday, someone will appear, carrying the history of all those decades on his back and challenge the world to a fight."
What if this is literal?
They do whatever they want and depending on the person...it might be good or evil(but let's be real here, 99% of pirates in op ARE EVIL, just one percent are like luffy, Roger, wb, shanks etc.)
The Marines represent Peace&Order but ignore Freedom in order to maintain peace and order.
ANOTHER BANGER MORJ. WE LOVE TO SEE IT.
Congrats man.
such an interesting theory
9:59 made me imagine usopp, the master of lies, being the one to trigger this unveiling of the gov's lies like he did with Sugar
Franky destroying the previous vegapunk's lab is a foreshadow
Oh, I never thought of it like that
I like this theory but rather than it being Luffy, I'd appreciate it mirroring the Nightmare of Baldimore incident that Franky caused when he Destroyed Vegapunk's original Lab mistaking the button for a Jolly Roger, perhaps that's why Oda wrote for only half of Franky's body being petrified.
This is a really good theory. I had always theorized that this same event would come about from Morgan's being given the scoop of a lifetime, many lifetimes. As he's already shown willingness to rebel against the government despite being its mouthpiece
Love the thumbnail lol
Morj talking about how the general civilians don't know that their oppressors are evil and getting taken down? Uh oh I'm seeing flashbacks
Oke of your best thumbnails, I love it
That parallel betweeen the World Government at large & dressrossa!🔥🔥🔥 Give Odacchi and Morj their flowers🤝
The mirror of the story tying to dressrosa was perfectly explained!
Vegapunk's knowledge, in the form of Punk Records, is the creature contained in this particular egg.
nice analysis
It will be not Vegapunk's knowledge that will be spread..... It will be of Kuma's Memory.....
Everyone in the world will live through Kuma's life....
A kind royalty who is framed as a Tyrant...
A discriminate unique race...
Slave...
Pirate..
Revolutionaries....
It will do the same thing as Vegapunk's Knowledge but much more sadder and powerful......
O_o and everyone will know the truth about the Gorosei....
To add a small fun sidenote to this theory, Vegapunk and punk records have multiple nods to Daft Punk, and one of their most famous songs is “Around the World” so the destruction of Punk Records will be heard “around the world”
The thumbnail is so good lol
And he's gonna do it with the biggest grin on his face
Oh shit this is goated. Great stuff Morj.
Punk musik beeing what it is makes this so much better
Nice video, Mr Morj
16 sec upload, is this, ultra instinct
I agree with most of what he says up until the point of luffy breaking the punk record, but i think the brain waves have a range and that range is just the egghead island meaning everyone in egghead island will know the true history. The rest of the world will know about everything from big news morgan who will somehow come near egghead to uncover what is really happening in egghead
This cn also be what stops the Kidd and Shanks fight as well as the Law vs BB fight
This has to be one of the best theories Ive ever watched no reaching or jumping through loops great job morj
god damnit morj you’ve done it again
It makes it more interesting that Big News Morgan is there as well and he will never silence the truth if it's interesting.
Good one,, just like when Sugar pass out the knowledge and memory is then come back to people, I think for the world, Morgan & News Coo will have an importan play, that is also why Vivi is with him
If this incident started 3 months ago, that technically should be adding the time Luffy got back with his crew after the timeskip
The theory about it being Atlas disguised as York has some crazy evidence from the vid I saw.
