They say "The minimum required size for big shop banners is 1200 x 300px. The recommended size is 1600 x 400px" - the one Canva makes is the smaller version.
You can easily make yours bigger by clicking 'create a design' then choosing the 'custom size' option, and entering 1600 and 400.

Thank you, I have been having just a real hard time trying to make my Etsy page look good. I have Canva and I did not even know that I could do this. I opened my shop yesterday and did not like how it looked. I am going to go and work on my banner right now,
A Really helpful tutorial, thank you. but when I’ve downloaded the banner and added it to my etsy shop, the photos look really poor quality, but they look clear and crisp on Canva, any suggestions please?

Very nice video, but how do you add it to your Etsy shop once you create it in Canva? Thanks
Download the file, then go to your Etsy shop and look for the 'edit shop' button on the banner. You'll then go to the edit window, and in the lower left corner, there is a pencil button that will allow you to add the new banner. I show this at 1:30 in the video.

imade a cover /banner on canva but am unable to figure out how to get it to my etsy shop keeps saying wrong file type and when I get right file type says its too small

You save it to your computer, and upload the file onto your banner.
I did this for my Mom's etsy shop Gem2theivintage, and the image came out very very pixelled!!!

The video completely ignores the actual part where you make it your banner though. How do I get it from Canva to my !#%@#!$$!&&! Etsy cover spot? God this frustrating. And every time I save the design, it comes out blurry, despite the fact I'm using quality images and not resizing.

Having trouble with Canva. I have made 3 banners each time I can't save it and apply it to my Etsy shop without it prompting me to pay.

In my experience, using the default Etsy Shop Cover from Canva would give me a very pixellated picture
1200 is the minimum size Etsy requires, which is what the Canva template is. You could try making a higher-resolution image in the same scale and see if that fixes the problem.
@@JessVanDen I just used the Canva Elements and fonts and they were grossly pixellated
Hmm, that's strange, I've never had that issue. What format did you export them in? Make sure to do png.

how come it doesnt say edit shop on my etsy profile?
You have to be logged in, then it should give you the option when you visit your shop. Or you can do it from your shop dashboard.
