@@loserr4642 I believe the current Elmo is Ryan Dillon, Kevin Clash resigned as Elmo after he was accused of being in a relationship with a minor or something similar
Honestly that whole thing kind of smelled homophobic to me... Like maybe someone was just looking for an excuse to get rid of a gay man from a kids tv show
Actually he didn't. He gave Elmo his personality. I'll say the modern puppeteer isn't the problem. It's Seasame Street Workshop, they made Elmo too nice and cute.
Kevin Clash definitely gave Elmo a personality that made him stand out from every other person who performed as him, I loved it, and I miss Kevin performing as Elmo too...but this new Elmo, his voice, the way he's written, idk what they've done to him
@藍染 惣右介Aizen Sousuke He didn't create elmo, but before him, Elmo was just an Anything Monster with cycling personalities. Clash is the one who made Elmo who he is.
It’s amazing how Elmo is a puppet but yet when he talks we all look at him and listen to him like an actual person lol which is why I love showing my kid the muppets and sesame street
@@BettyMareeHOHCountry In 2012, a 23 year old man claimed that him and Clash had sexual relations when he was only 16. This was huge news. 2 or 3 more people came forward too but all cases were dismissed. Sounds like the men lied about how young they were and they were over 18. Anyway he could possibly make a comeback as Elmo but I doubt he will since that's with Seasame Workshop. But he has been working with The Jim Henson Company in the last 3 years.
Not to be a downer but I don't want to see the guy behind the Elmo character because you just like to keep the fantasy the Elmo is a real furry monster so it kind of ruins a little bit the fantasy for me it's kind of weird
What blows me away is how plain Kevin is, gives very basic answers and doesn’t say anything surprising. But when he switches to Elmo he’s so quick witted and you never know what he’s going to say! Just an observation
I've noticed that this happens in general muppet performers, even watching old Jim Henson interviews. I think there is a certain amount of energy and spontaneity in their work that helps their performances but can express as "butting in" during more conventional interviews. I've noticed this happens whether the actor is appearing as them, as their character, or both.

5:40 Elmo: "Elmo Loves Wasabi."
Me: 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Wasabi is a sometimes food"
Hahaha!!!
Elmo just looks like a kid who's stuck in the middle of the store as his parent talks to an old friend for 9 hours xD just like 😑😐🙄
When you’re at your friends house and your parent comes to pick you up and now the two parents are just talking in the living room for an hour 😂
That’s me even though I’m kind of an older kid with a tiny attention span
i feel like he is the only one that can move his lips when talking as elmo and be acceptable
Well he's a puppeteer not a ventriloquist

I still miss Elmo by Kevin Clash.
He violated a term in the work-for-hire contract.
same. dont know why they fired him. to be honest. but Kevin Clash is Elmo.
me too! still soooo sad.

Elmo doesn't play around. My boi is a savage

One thing different about him than others. Elmo is zoning out, but others the muppet is listening and reacts to the muppeteer
Why am i here i was watching puppet making tutorials

Theres a puppet tutorial for ya.
What if elmo is controlling kevin?
What?
He is the best puppeteer of Elmo.
Rover: Every single one of you tonight gets one to take home
Audience: RaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAa!
they are chering cause they are making bank come christmas!
You forgot he said they were all lazy, and they will get one
The “well your wife is not here” line was savage and he didn’t even know it. Rove’s wife at this time was ether very sick, or had passed away.
Aired July, she passed in November. So yeah, very sick.
Rove since remarried since his first wife passed away. i believe he is a father as well.
Even though the Muppeteer is right out in the open, my brain thinks that the voice came from the Muppet and not the Muppeteer.
He’s a Puppeteer, NEVER muppeteer. That goes all the way back to Henson himself.
I heard he was the voice of splinter in the tmnt movies
The new ones or the old ones?
@@InsertCreativeusername_ the old ones with the puppets
@@derekmccluskey4931 ok thanks
Yep. In the first two from the 90s.
Now if he learns ventriloquism he'll be op.
Growing up watching sesame Street and then becoming the most famous character sounds like a DREAM
plot twist: elmo controls kevin
Nina Conti once hinted at that with her monkey puppet that she does ventriloquism work with lol
His laughs are so cute ❤
Such a talented puppeteer and such a great host
If any body knows Kevin clash I want to send a note to him but I don't know if he is busy
I think he still works for Sesame Street Workshop you could send a fan letter to them and have Kevin's name on the letter
