    Many thanks for this excellent video, I successfully fitted a dash cam to my 2017 308SW yesterday following your instructions & tips. I would love to meet the person who designed the 308 fuse Box.

    Excellent. I was dreading this job on my wife's car but your video made it a 20 minute doddle! Thank you.

    Glad I came across your video. That fuse box is the biggest joke I have ever seen.I dont know if its the same on a left hand drive car, as there are so many sockets connections for the wire loom which are hiding the fuse box. Just a very bad design. I looked inside and thought there was no fuse box until I found your video. Nice and detailed description.

    Is it the same setup for the Peugeot 2008? I'm struggling to find videos on how to install a Nextbase mirror dashcam on a 2008.

    Hi what fuse strength are you using ? My kit came with a 10amp fuse. If you take out the 5amp fuse in the accessory slot do you have to use a 5 amp? Or a 10 amp

    Hi.I have a dashcam with parking mode that requires permanent 12v as well as ign feed 12v. Peugeot has a timed power off after say 30mins - got to find a permanent feed in fuse box (3008 2018) I assume I have to sit in the motor probing with meter till economy mode activates...???

    If I am confident of using "F7" fuse 5-amp slot - do I have to do the multi-meter test? Or no need?

    Great video. I'm wanting to fit a dash cam with a parking monitor which needs a permanent live on a 3008. Any ideas as to which fuse?

      You would need a circuit that stays live even after the typical shutdown period such as the central locking circuit. Refer lto your handbook for fuse number because it can depend on what spec the car is and what region the car was sold in.

    Great video! I have a 2009 year Peugeot 207 - for the Fuse piggy-back lead thingy (I think you called it a "Spur"...), do I need a "Standard" one or a "Mini" one?
    Also I plan to use the F7 "Accessory" 5-Amp fuse slot to piggy-back off, i.e. the one that controls the [Front and rear courtesy lamps, map reading lamps, sun visor lighting, glove box lighting] - is that ok to do?

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  5 лет назад +1

      The courtesy lamp on most cars runs on a constant live circuit and so does not go off when the ignition is switched off. Maybe try the fuse for a system that does not work when the ignition is off such as the heater.

      Thanks - I am sure that on the 207 it does go off (after a delay that is) - as does the power to the Cigarette lighter socket (again with a delay). In fact I prefer my 1997 Ford Escort in that regard...whose Cigarette Lighter power always stays on!
      As for the Courtesy light on the 207...the only time it comes on without ignition is when we use the remote key to unlock its doors...however yesterday we were sitting in the car (ignition off) - and I turned one of the reading lamps on (same Fuse as the courtesy one) - and after a short while it went off.
      I think you are right about "most" - but the 207 seems to be one of the exceptions.
      P.S. The fuse box is a NIGHTMARE to get to - I chortled when you were in agreement about French cars :-)

      @@PJsprojects Is this (ignition-off = non-working) also what I want to do to use the Dash cam's "Parking mode" feature? Or if I want to use that should I hard-wire it to a constantly live? That is confusing me...

      Hello. I have a Peugeot 207. I put the fuse on F9 but it's not charging it at all. Do you have any idea why this could be and which fuse would be best for this??? Please let me know. Thank You

    Which fuse would be best for a Peugeot 207? I put it o. F9 for the back windows but didn't work. Please let me know if you could help. Thank You.

      Try the one for either heater blower/AC or another system that only works when the ignition is on.

      Angela, did you connect the black earth terminal to a bolt that is connected to the BODY?
      I made the mistake of thinking the two metal screws inside the glove box were ok to earth to, but they are not as they connect to the plastic of the glove box.
      Also use F7 - but don't refer to online guides to inform you of the location of "F7"...they are wrong. Use your eyes on your 207 to see the fuse location etched "F7". It is 5 amp and ignition switched, and controls the reading lights / vanity lights.

      @PJsprojects  5 лет назад +1

      Yes the black earth cable needs to connect to the body,just make sure it touched metal and not paint.

    My 308 GT Line fuse board is completely different to what’s on the manuals/online - I’ve tapped a 3A fuse and if I unlock the car/lock it powers the fuse board and dashcam comes straight on.

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  4 года назад

      Yes a lot of makes fuse layouts differ depending on spec and the region the car was made for. The fuse you are using at the moment is on a timer so will go dead after a few minutes if the car is not started.
      If you want the camera to go on/off only with the key then try the heater blower fuse but make sure to test the circuit first with a meter or test probe.

    Thanks for the clear video. I have a 2015 3008 and cannot find the right fuse. The camera does not switch on and off with the ignition. Anyone can help?

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  5 лет назад

      With the aid of a test probe or multi meter check either of the five amp fuses on the bottom row of the fuse box as these can be ignition switched on UK models (other regions may vary).
