Great video! It's not a glamorous thing for the car but nonetheless very important for it.
Nailed it 👊🏼
Very useful information, maintenance is the key to keep our Saab cars running.
Yes indeed!
I bought the Do88 coolant line pack, was a really nice piece of kit. Even removed the tee piece that's prone to breaking with a full manufacturered piece without the tee part. If anyone is going to do this then I wound recommend replacing the coolant tank, mine cracked with age trying to get the hoses back on the tank.
Good call! I did that a couple of year ago on mine when one of the nipples snapped off: ruclips.net/video/AOsTBkbkTgo/видео.htmlsi=skkS_okKhgvU6Vo_
@@AutoAutopsy that's exactly what happened. Didn't know about the drain off tho so thanks for showing where it is for future reference.
the hoses in my 05 arc went out in 2021, yours lasted longer and you live in arizona, impressive!
😬🤣👍🏼
Looks a lot easier to change these hoses than what I went through on my Aero! BTW, save the hard plastic elbow connectors, just in case! It may save you a trip to pick your part later . . .
Good tip, thanks!
You should make a video with all the modifications you’ve done to your 93 and future plans
This video is a bit outdated now but has a lot of the mods in it! ruclips.net/video/ftUePgA3o_U/видео.htmlsi=YhWd2YkBAbvwKpgm
Off topic but I have a 2008 Aero 2.8L 166K LOVE the car and its performance. Runs very smooth no misfires except when turbo goes to the redline. Then gets a major stall and bucks and I have to back off immediately. Need some expert opinion how to fix. Does it need new turbo? Rebuild turbo? Gas flow/exhaust problem? Sensor problem? No one around here works on SAAB. Any help and clues much appreciated!!!
It’s most likely plugs or coils. Do you have a check engine light? ruclips.net/video/S8rmH-9CS5A/видео.htmlsi=TxPYvDVc-g3Ou5eY
would you please mention where I can order the thermostathuis runbber for my Saab 93 2005 as I need to change it. thanks in advance.
Esaabparts, as mentioned in the video!
Man how long did that take you? Nice job 👍
For just the heater hoses, you’re probably looking at an hour tops, including draining and filling coolant
Cleanest 93 out there have you thought about paint matching your door handles
Thanks! I haven’t; I’d need to get some already painted ones since they are a smooth finish. I quite like the black personally
Where did you get the custome 207R coil pack cover?
I installed it in this video here: ruclips.net/video/yxUkyhZxobE/видео.html and got it from tytroswick@gmail.com
Mine is also leaking from the thermostat housing. Impossible to remove without removing the catalytic converter?
The thermostat doesn’t require the downpipe to be removed: ruclips.net/video/gUh2Ut8-f_U/видео.htmlsi=uvtWw6H9OhPAPerp
SUPER BRATE.❤❤❤❤
🙌🏼🙌🏼
OhNO!!!! You didn't mention CLOSING the radiator drain petcock after draining! :-) I saw that you cut away on the video as soon as coolant started to pour out of the heater core. How much coolant came out of there? If you had waited longer before pulling the hoses do you think it would have drained enough through the radiator that the spillage could have been avoided? Or do you think it's necessary to drain coolant from the engine block as well to prevent that mess?
You’ll probably make a bit of a mess regardless., but it will be less so if you drain the radiator first. Of course you will need to close the radiator drain once done 👍🏼😅
I have a Saab 9-3, model year 2003, version 2. When I park the car and leave it for 8-10 hours, it won't start in the morning. All the electronics work (like the radio and lights), but the engine doesn't get power to start.
To get the car running, I open the hood and connect a cable from the starter relay to the negative terminal on the battery while the ignition is on. The car then starts immediately. After this, I can start the car normally with the key until I leave it again for several hours, and the problem occurs again.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I don’t. So you basically have a weak battery? Sounds like you might have a parasitic draw? Amp 1?
😎👍❤️🇸🇪
🙌🏼
Too hot to work on cars there, triple digit for you guys, ugh...........
It’s brutal right now 😭😭
