    GG Cara, really good strategy and execution.
    I think that I misplayed hard by going solely East (and wasting a lot of time on Ottomans) instead of grabbing some Tlemcen/Tunis provinces early on as well

      thanks! you did great too, even if you would've changed your strategy a bit. for me, i think i misplayed by being too sus 🤪💦

    TheStudent googling how to flip to animist during mid-challenge to figure out why it wasn't working is very funny, winning again last second. Congrats!

    Would it be possible to move your portraits to the other side? I want to see war scores.
    Also I love the split screen

    Cara was so close!!
    The region she chose to expand into was much better, but that war against Sus did not go well.
    Going for Mzab or truce breaking Tunis would be easier to execute and be more beneficial.

      It was an amazing game. To be fair: she couldn't count on Zlewikk's conflicts with RNGesus, so I think taking the gamble was a proper play, not knowing the province count.
      I'd guess the plan was correct: go after Sus with Castile's help (should be 'easy'), by then Touggourt truce should be up (or did she whitepeace them?), not sure if Fezzan was an option. And then trucebreak Tunis to see if you can snatch a little more before the coalition ends the run. Going for Tunis first, I'm guessing, would put Mamluks and Sus in a coalition and foil that path.
      Good plan... and I do wonder if Castile had cooperated with her and mr Ottomans hadn't been roosterblocking Zlewikk, how that would've worked out!

    Great choice on the USA challenge as both contestants were not entirely sure how to handle the first war!

    Cara's little confidence punches (like at 1:45:00) are so cute, makes me smile everytime. Deserves all the points she can get, so close this time.

    For the gold challenge, they could've used Cuzco then Inca. Then boost it's economy with the incan missions focussed on gold (developing the Potosi project). After that, colonizing and going to Mexico

    why do you bother with what you say when talking to the players directly mid run when they are allowed to watch the stream and know everything your thinking anyway?

    • @achillesmichael5705
      @achillesmichael5705 6 дней назад

      btw i disagree with this wyy of doing it, they should at least pretend not to watch the stream / get tips from chat

    • @ZlewikkTV
      @ZlewikkTV 6 дней назад +4

      I think it's just a personal choice of players. I don't plan to watch the stream while I'm playing :)

    • @sorsocksfake
      @sorsocksfake 5 дней назад +2

      Direct chat will be more organized, casters consider when it's proper, etc. There's a much bigger advantage to be had there, and it being rarer, is more likely to give an outright advantage.
      Listening in on the stream is more mixed. Yes you'll get some useful info, but I reckon it's also very distracting, chaotic, some bad info, and it'll take you out of your focus. And it goes more evenly to both players. So more of a personal decision whether you want that good with the bad.

      Less experienced players could use a bit of help
      It is fine and only makes the matches more exciting
      If you are here to find out the most skilled player, then the title of the 'back to back to back to back to back' champion may give some hints

    God quarbit is awful

    • @ZlewikkTV
      @ZlewikkTV 5 дней назад +10

      Why you think so? He actually executed his strategy pretty well. It wasn't just as good as Aztecs animist are

    • @marcod53
      @marcod53 5 дней назад +7

      Quarbit is great and I won't stand for this slander

    • @sorsocksfake
      @sorsocksfake 5 дней назад +4

      I recall Quarbit has done pretty damn well in tournaments! His strength being to take a dependable strategy and execute it very well. Which often beats out a more 'adventurous' player who doesn't quite manage to pull off his plan. After all, the best strategies can collapse to a bit of bad RNG, bad luck, a mistake, faulty judgment... even a strategy getting invalidated by a new game version.
      Almost worked here, and many an other player would have spent 40 minutes in wars, ending up with more gold provinces, but less developed. Or doing the time-favored curse of portugal :).

    • @PavelQuiteGood
      @PavelQuiteGood 5 дней назад +1

      If you want to watch only the insanely skilled players, we will have only three participants left 🤷‍♂
      Isn't it more exicintg to have more or less regular players in the tournament as well?

      i think you're crazy his strats are really good and he seems to have a lot of knowledge on most nations. i think he just got unlucky in his first match and the student just thought up a better idea is all no one is going to play perfectly 100% of the time.
