Of course Ollie explained that the boundary trap needs to be accessible for cleaning out the drains to the owners of the home. It's amazing how people bury deep in the earth access to their plumbing for inspection and clean out

I watched a vid of a Japanese drain unblocker and the older couple there were so embarrassed that he had to deal with their sh*t (literally!) that while he was getting something from his van they launched their own retrieval operation! When he came back he was quite horrified.
Not a full time drain clearer by any means but, I just find it amazing how Australia still uses house traps everywhere. I can get the terra cotta I had an house in AZ that still has it. But the random cleanouts in the house buried of all things just kills me.

Ollie the master of blocked drains figure’s out what’s happening without looking at it, even when you look, other plumbers can’t figure it out, Ollie’s mind has already figured out what to do and in the process of figuring out what tool will do the trick. Ollie’s is truly a master of his profession.
Fifty years ago, I worked for a grounds keeping firm on a large NASA facility. When leaks came up, we uncovered the pipes, the riggers would come in to fix the leak, and then we would bury the mess. The leaks were always at boundaries: heavy pads next to foundations, pad boundaries where they transitioned to lawns, road ways, and then sidewalks. Any place where there was a great difference in the weight being carried by the substrate. Some things just never change.
Those pesky boundary traps seem to evade the plumbers don’t they 😅 but when Ollie turns up none are safe from the mighty power of the CRS38, Ratty, the epic Ridgid Scout and mighty probe 🤣👍 the steep drain tried to keep the jet from reaching the problem but Ollie knows his IOs!
What's really amazing to me is how the cadence and violence of the water flow during the top down view was so much like an explosive diarrhea after eating $25 worth of Taco Bell.
