- First Time Riding a 2016 Hayabusa 1340cc! I was feeling overly confident since I had rode a GSX-R 1000, 750, and 600. I thought I can handle anything. One twist of the throttle resulted in the front wheel coming straight up, and it just kept coming up. I decided to take it easy the rest of the ride. Review top speed bike

There should be some more gears in there somewhere.
Lol
😂 maybe he thinks its an automatic😂
Stuart Caddick children are afraid to shift into a higher gear.
These are great Touring bike.
Shift the damn bike and enjoy the ride.
@@ltsgarage7780 4th the max on the street then you lug the engine at that speed
channelofstuff I agree to that in some point. Does he ever get out of first gear?
The Busa will Cruze in 3rd and 4th gears all day long. Just because he is not running it up to 10 RPM doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy the bike. Is he riding his first Hayabusa on the street or track. It’s a street bike not a track bike. Ride it like a street bike not a track bike.
Have you ridden a Hayabusa??
I’ve owned One!!!
Well this is painful to watch.
Teh509
What a waist of time....
Dude buy a pcx
for sure.....first gear..really...
This guy is a knob who should never have been granted a drivers license. He's a perfect example of why so many places are implementing a graduated licensing system.
I was praying that he would wheelie into a tree.
the front wheel goes up on a 600 too 😂 man idk if he’s been on a 50cc, you can get a 250 up for a little bit too
The front wheel is coming off the ground because you're riding around in 1st gear.
morningstaR x I can pull mine in 4th gear. Yes, I have extended sprockets, but this dude needs A Rebel 250
Don't listen ..this guys a Waste
Also he’s riding in A mode aka race mode so yea... choppy throttle controls gonna pop a wheelie.....
Wow, the front wheel came up in 1st gear! Who would have thought?
No they've lied to him! ;-)
Hahaha
On a busa!!! must be a chance in a million!... I think he must have shifted his weight to the back of the seat then twisted the throttle to get that wheel up :P
I RODE A BUSA BACK. WHEN I WAS YOUNGER
SCARED THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF ME
WAY TOO MUCH FOR ME
THANKS BUT NO THANKS
I have to stop watching !! Can't stand to listen to an engine scream SHIFT! SHIFT!!!!! bye.
A total tool
R.I.P to that clutch an I wonder how 3rd gear is 😞😩
Slipping that clutch so much. Can't watch it
I'm sorry guys, I'm a ZX14 guy but the Busa AINT ugly. It's just not.
Wait for the new 2019 model!
So painful to watch torture that engine on first gear all the way. why not enjoy some 1st gear power and then switch at least to 2nd. Let that engine take a breath!
+Lawrence Carmen I hadn't rode a supersport until that day, let alone a top speed bike 😅 I'll do another video on my friends Busa soon, now that I am more experienced
Revs dont actually do any bad for the engine. Cruising on high rpm just wears the internals of the engine a little more, but considering the pistons and valvetrain of a modern inline 4 are designed to last practically the whole lifespan of the bike, that's not necessarily a problem either.
Lawrence Carmen he rides like a nob he thinks it's an automatic o he just found 2 gear
So sad to watch. What a dick.
The first time you said you were in second you should've been in fourth and when you said you were doing 30 you could've been in 3rd.
That bike will pull cleanly with good torque from 2000 revs in any gear.
There's no need to rev the nuts off it.
+wontputrealname 😂 yeah probably
THE NUKE RIDE ...1ST GEAR TO 90MPH...PLEASE ...EVERYONE CANNOT MAKE IT SING...DO OVER. THIS IS LACKING TRANSMISSION ACTION....
Wontputrealname. He thinks he's still on a 600 or liter bike. He has no idea how to ride a Busa. That really was painful to watch.
Yeah you need to treat these beast's with respect
Its only as scary as you make it.
There’s just an inherent fear the first time. Because people always talk about the Hayabusa as being legendary.
I was nervous my first time but after awhile, it’s a real easy and smooth ride.
Keep that beast in "C" mode, it will increase your odds of survival! after you've gotten more use to the power you will eventually move up to "B and A" mode.
There are modes dude. Don't start with aggressive mode. When you get used to it, step it up... And, driving on first gear the worst idea where small throttle movements will cause unbalanced issues.
Cool vid! It's funny seeing someone ride these fast bikes for the first time, thanks for the good review. SUBSCRIBED
Thanks for the support, MD! This wasn't my best video Im surprised it took off lol. I did some better reviews after this though :)
Enjoyable review . Brought me back or the first time I was on a big power bike and did my first power wheelie . Cheers
Nice video! You have a sense of humor when riding! Keep posting!
...You ve got 5 more gears ...use them !! :) :)
😎
09 busa here. Love the bike. Had 01 before that. Def my fav bikes.
those are gorgeous bikes. and yes not for the faint of heart. I wheelied one coming off a light low Rev going into second. they will pull and pull hard no matter the rpm. Lived the comment about why people right motorcycles, because soccer and football only use one ball. Epically done.
haha Glad you liked it man!
You don't pick-up a busa in 1st! you do that in 2nd, 3rd or 4th! and if you are really worth your money in 6th!
I know the feeling of that bike's power... Once you master it, it's incredible. I rode the Hayabusa and owned one a week later. May not be the fastest bike out there but you won't ever be limited by it on the street...
Definitely fast enough!!
The power in pretty much any gear is what I like having a 2014 Busa
If you like power, cant go wrong with a Busa!
Nice bike, easy on the throttle and you're good to go!!
when you get pulled over if they ask do you know why I stopped you? say because I let you. and if they ask do you know how fast you were going? say it's not safe to look down when you're going that fast. it got me some laughs and out of a ticket. just don't come across like an ass when saying it.
hahaha
lmao
Haha hilarious! But isn't that true though? =)
"do you know how fast you were going?"
Yeah, I was following traffic.
"you were passing people like crazy!"
They weren't following traffic.
"nobody was in front of you!"
Well, I wasn't following the fastest traffic.
No ticket. I never admitted anything and by the time he caught up to me (cough) I had already pulled over to the side.
Been riding 40 plus years, never got speeding ticket on any bike. They just let you go faster
Love my K8...respect the power and the bike will look after you.
I don't ride bikes but I can even hear you riding the clutch bro!
Dude nail it, see what it's really like, you'll love it.
I got to ride one of these at the Demo day recently didn't scare me that much but I know my limits and my throttle control is pretty on point apparently. Gave it the beans at like 8k rpm on the highway and oh my goodness the rush I was doing mini pulls for the rest of the time we were on the highway. I litteraly couldn't help but back off and get on it over and over again which was funny because the 1000 didn't give me the same feeling.
I go to youngblood all the time love that place. I can never find tier demo days on the calendar though
this man is ridding this bike in 1&2 gear
Busa looks so sexy, and has the MOST RECOGNIZABLE body....period! When you pull up at a light or park somewhere, EVERYONE knows what you're riding.... If you're on anything else, no one gives a fuck....and because they all look the fucking same!
Mike Fu Wrong, tell that to guys riding the new H2R, or the BMW S1000R, or the Ducatti 1199
felt the acceleration while watching....nice
Thanks SGT
You must riding a scooter then?
My dream machine
Agree with Lawrence Carmen's post.
You should try one like mine 2002 hayabusa deristricted it's so frikken quick
Bikes so fast I thought the video was sped up😍😂
And a shifter. Its also equipped with whats known as 'Clutch'.
if you are scared of a bike then you shouldn't be riding it let alone writing about it and expecting serious riders to take your opinions seriously
+bampie1 literally the worst video I’ve ever made ( and that’s saying something) yet people keep watching it so it is what it is
It is a very fast bike I was considering buying one but I was to old and not flexible enough to fit it so I bought the ZZR1400. The big Z is quicker only just but way more comfortable the Busa is an extreme sports bike but the Kawazaki allows you to ride all day long. But which ever bike you choose you won't be disappointed
Any bike that doesn't scare you at first isn't worth having. The longer the better. Nice observations, reminds me of my first time!
This video is embarrassing, but it is fun to see how far I’ve come as a rider
PAYDAYSWAGGER
I have been a rider since about 6 years old. Embarresed you should not be. Those initial impressions were spot on. Good survival instincts that will serve you well. I rode a 'busa on a Thursday. Bought a Sv1000s. On the Saturday. 15 years later I don't regret my purchase.
love my busa :) got a 15
Mike Tanner got A 2010 with extended sprockets. Can we say "SLINGSHOT"??
i have a zx10r, but this vid makes me wanna ride a busa so bad
"Holyshiiiiiiiiiittt" LOL.. LOL..LOL.. LOL. Man I can't remember laughing so hard! when you said that, I was done...LOL.
dude i love that u r driving a 1300 R and ur video length is also 13:00.
I never noticed 😅
I have a 2018 and it's the best bike I've ever owned.
What camera and mount are you using ?
I like the idea of a Busa engine on an extended wheelbase, or even in a cruiser frame… that thing would be a total sleeper!
How to start a RUclips comment fight:
1. Make a video
2.Wait
LOLZZZZ
Hey, quick thought. you dont need to/shouldnt rev the bike when ur new to it or the bike is cold, ie not HOT. short shift maybe?
When you short-shift, you have more play area with the throttle so you get a little more confidence overtaking(less engine vacum when u go off the throttle and less wheelie potential xD).
U wot m8 i swer ill hook u in the gabber
PAYDAYSWAGGER Love you
What do you normally drive? 125cc?
I know those bikes are fast as fuck, but they are so god damn ugly :( And that's kick ass you got to test ride all those bikes.
I hate how it looks lumpy lol.
The bike in your video is ugly as shit to but hey it's just an opinion like yours.
Then go and see the Kawasaki ZX-14R... even faster and much better look.
+MrTrollnba Dont talk Shit this bike top speed is 397Kmph only H2R is faster and is 400Kmph.
Excuse me, the hyabusa will do 257 miles per hour, zzr1400 about 210 mph.
Wait this bike is still in production?
Holycrap. Seeing that sign Springfield/Branson I noticed you're off Evans road! I live down 125 in sparta!
I pass through there when I ride down to bradlyville or whatever it’s called 👍
PAYDAYSWAGGER that's a nice ride just surprised me stumbling across familiar roads don't meet a lot of vloggers here. Maybe I'll see you out on the next ride!
And yet I rode a KAWASAKI ZX14 and took it easy for a few miles but after that i rode it like my fazer fz1.Real easy bike to ride if you don't wanna wheelie whack it in 2nd and 3rd.if you ram it in 1st it will wheelie.I was scared on the zx14 but after a few miles I eased into it.Wouldn't mind a test on this though.
What mode were you riding in?
I demo rode one at Indianapolis MotoGp last year. It does get up pretty good but I wasn't scared like this guy. I don't mind wheelies though. I have been riding sport bikes for over 24 years. I put over 50,000 miles on my ZX10r before I sold it and got my Triumph Speed Triple. If he got scared of the wheelies on a Busa then he would be scared on a Speed Triple.
For the love of pete my man Shift, it's ok to shift! If you have to, shift early. The bike will be more tame in a higher gear.... Good Vid
Good vid my ass! but spot on with the shifting!
What is the brand and model of the grey cruiser bike in front of you with a big rear tire?
What is the gray bike up front with the big back tire?
Dang what kind of camera are you using at the beginning?
GoPro Hero 4 Black for the entire video
Which power band???? You know you can like....ride in 4th in Chicago bumper to bumper on this bike right?
What's up with all the dislikes? I liked this video, very entertaining. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Danny! Keep in mind that this is 2016. If you say something about a Hayabusa that someone else disagrees with, it deserves hate mail and dislikes
My first motorcycle
steve buscemi? anyone ?
hayabusa is torque. im breaking in a 2023 one and cant go over 5K rpms took a second to see what was flashing at me for a while LOL it was the TC light ( traction control ) from first all way to 65 Mph LOL Third Gen Rocks
"am going to ride in first gear most of the time" said it so shamelessly 😂😂😂
Love your video I never been on a hayabusa only gsxr1000 I'm a small guy but I want a hayabusa so your video help me out
Cool I am always glad to hear that I was able to help
think maybe you are out of your depth on that bike............your choice of gears and rev matching is rather poor .....and the way you were riding it made me shudder......you dont need to rev these big bore bikes to get them going...........even though it does rev out they have a lot of torque as well......why are you riding in the low gears like a 250.........would suggest you keep to a small bike for your own survival............sorry
+UnkyGrey fair enough
He needs to stick to A Rebel 250
Did you get the bike?
I own the haya ....first is it isint outdated second its a sport tourer/ straitline rocket...but it does turn easily..its not heavy to me that may be becuase my other bike is a roadstar 1700...i love my busa and if you respect it its actually a very good bike all around and yes ive ridden the 14 and the zx10 and the gsxr1000 yamaha r1 r6 and the forgotton black bird....i still own one much like the busa
Does anyone know what kind of bike that was sitting in front of him at the beginning when he was parked?
Look guys I'm really sorry for being a little shit. I'm only fourteen and yea you guessed it I don't even ride. Trouble is I spilt my milkshake in school today and the other boys laughed at me. I got really upset and cried the whole way home.
It got worse later that day when mummy came home early and caught me looking at the club book. Anyhow I'm really sorry to all you real bikers and maybe someday I will get a motorbike.
Of course you can man, keep up the positive vibes and you will definitely achieve what you want to achieve. Never let yourself down in any situation, that is the most important thing you need to remember. Have a good day everyday 😀
LOL
the brand new one speed busa
I actually like the style of the Busa. Nice machine, but it's more suited for a bigger dude.
I am an aged pensioner and A VERY AVERAGE RIDER.
I purchased a new Suzuki Hayabusa IN 2017. If you are gentle on the throttle it behaves in a very sedate and smooth manner. My biggest gripe is the shear weight.I have had 2 stationary drops.Could not hold it up .
Also it wants to go in a straight line ...you have to be very good rider to pull this massive machine over in a tight corner ...no can do at this stage.
They are amazing bikes, go like stink. If you think it is fast now get the ECU flashed and a full system exhaust installed and maybe a quick-shifter. Then you'll know all about! I now have a ZZR1400, not much between them to be honest. Ride safe and enjoy!
was that your first wheelie? It barely came up man! I was expecting you to be at 12 o'clock!
Yah he made it sound like it.came up high and honestly I'm not sure why he was being so hamfisted with the throttle. The bigger bike I rode the more finesse you can twist the throttle all the way but you don't chop the throttle on big bikes I've been riding for 2 and a half months and I rode the Busa like I was born on it I honestly really liked it by the end.

+OspreyBravo18 lucky! I haven't ridden bigger than a 600 yet
Squidrat 636 Keep an eye out for Demos in your area I walked in on one by accident and the lead rider was nice enough to work me up the line to the point by the second day I was told that I could ride whatever I wanted.
You rode the hell out of that clutch 3min in...
What kinda gloves are those?? Thanks!
when you riding a busa you just dont give a shitt about how the speedometer looks like bcoz this bike is all about the thrill of riding and when you up there you just njoy this beast, its performance and the thrilling pull is what makes this bike stand out for thrill enthusiasts
Yea..... Here’s the reason not to buy a demo...The price would have to be really good!
how about 2nd gear ?
The Busa did a wheelie, you were just there.
I'm fairly sure these come with a free gear box
do you ever shift, bro ?
Nice bike by my gosh you could probably be in at least 5th gear. With that kind of torque I don't doubt you could be in high gear at 2,000 RPM in town and the bike wouldn't complain. It's kind of nice to run the revs up now and then just to get the adrenaline pumping, but gotta get out of second gear.
no why most bikes they say cant lift front tire is because safety wont allow bike to lift tire alot. but if you punch it will only lift a tad before safety stops you. your safe due to its safety stuff
the blue one is???
I've always wanted to at least ride one. I have a new ZX14R and have always been a Kawi boy. maybe one day I will break down and try one out!
You probably wouldn't be afraid of it like me haha
Its all good! I was a lil shook when I went to Hyper sport bikes too!
ZX14R BUSA KILLER you should try busa, gsxr 1000, or gsx-s 1000f those are damn excellent bikes with beautiful high pitched sounds
Having had a 2012 Busa, I'd prefer a ZX14 for the comfort. Performance is close enough to the same overall but I think the ZX is a bit more upright.
Then again, a BMW K1600GTL would make me happy too.. I really don't need the 200km/h (130mph) wheel lift in third gear... Suspect the ZX would do that too.
I did love the Busa torque though. Such a gentle bike in traffic, but see a gap and you're through.
Wait for the 2019 model, I trading my 2013 Limited Edition, immediately, will be my 3rd Busa! Kawa freaks will stay Kawa and Suzuki will stay Suzuki, that's just how it is! Both great bikes!
The clutch noise, lol
He said "I should've been more scared to ride this thing" ?! I didn't think he could've been more nervous lookn on that thing lol
you could change up to top gear at that speed and still throttles up,this bike is all about 141nm torque
Respect the busa, she can hear ya
You've ridden a 600 and a 1000, did you get out of 3rd gear on those ? Staying in a low gear so far doesn't do the bike any good !
Hell my R1 with 3 up rear SPROCKET is alot smoothed starting in 2nd.
ummm i purchase a 2011 busa as a first bike... it can be done safely, that is if you're not 1: a cocky idiot 2: a super kitty cat. It takes both confidence and restraint to get use to this bike. Over 5k miles and 2.5 months later im still alive and still loving it. eventually i'll post a vid and i'll try to post as much proof as possible w/o exposing too much of my personal info.
cool Lee feel free to leave the link to your video in the comments
I sure miss when you turn the key 🔑 over those needles jump right
Lol @ 5:23 when you hammered it.
These bikes can be tooled around in 6th then you just open them up tp 200kmh+ then the engine pulls you up with no brakes needed, which makes them safe as if you pick wrong line in a corner it will pull u up . They dont want to wheelie all the time and they are comfortable easy to ride and handle. These bikes are easier to ride around town in 3rd and 4th than jerking it around in first.
Never ridden a Busa though I'd love to. In Canada Insurance rates on bikes like that are crazy, .. if you find a company willing to insure you. I bought a old but decent '88 Suzuki Katana 1100 a few months ago as a retirement gift to myself after being out of riding for 30 years, and the insurance company I'd been with for about 45 years wouldn't insure it, .. said it was on the restricted bikes list.
I totally agree with you though about the torque even in high gear. If I can motor through town at 2,000 RPM in high gear on a 31 year old GSX1100F and then just roll on as I leave town like it's nothing, I know the Busa will for sure.
@@timluther5171 im in west Australia. I currently have a zx14r. The insurance is about $A300. Plus registration 3rd party is $400. I find the bigger sportsbikes more comfortable but not as flickable. But nearly 1500 cc is a good compromise. I live in thewheatbelt. The roads are empty but basic yet the bike handles ruts and gravel superbly. I remember the Katana coming out. Great styling and torque. Ilike baggers as well butthey so heavy . Ihave a 1500 Nomad. It lacks tractor like lowgrunt. Tried selling it after 10 years. It scollecting dust in my shed
@@buddhastaxi666 wow that zx14r would be a great machine. I like sport touring bikes and that's why I got this 1100 Katana. It was one that came with the optional luggage right from the factory and I can take it off or on in a matter of seconds. Now my old bike has 114,000 km on it but still pulls like a freight train when I run it through the gears. It's about 600 lbs so it's not light, but I like a bit of weight in my bikes too. I'm almost 68 years old so I'm probably not going to do much drag racing, but still love acceleration.
Once my wife retires in a couple of years we'll probably retire in the Philippines so I can ride year round too, ... although I guaranty I'll be on a lot smaller than a 1100. haha
Take good care and ride safe.
@@timluther5171 phillipines? Will u still get a state pension? I m 66 and just used all my super to pay house off. I still work as a shire gardener. In Australia we cant live o/s n still get a state pension. Bummer. Id live in Nederland! Green and cool. Not hot and droughts.
@@buddhastaxi666 yes I will still get all of my pensions. I have a brother who retired early to the Philippines about 8 years ago who just turned 65 a short time ago and still gets his pensions now that he's eligible. My wife is a Filipina and so is his so migrating there isn't too hard. My brother is part of a Royal Enfield's club there and is enjoying the retirement very much.
As for the wife and I we have a small condo in a nice city there that should be ready for turn over by December of 2020.
Retirement in Canada's just too expensive, so the Philippines will be a decent alternative.
GoPro not recording after 4GB? Make sure your memory card if formatted in NTFS, and not FAT32 (max file size 4GB)
+Thund3rsmurf thanks it was because I hadn't done an update. I haven't had a problem since then
Watched till 5.30 couldn't take anymore of this guys drivel, Hayabusa is clearly not the bike for him , he mentions a powerband about the 4min mark , the busa pulls from tickover to red line seamlessly and in any gear , awesome machine 👍
Just knock it up a few cogs & ride the torque ,one of the great aspects of riding a big bike it will pull from low down in any gear . Just a matter of time before it spits you off riding it like that.
what song is in the into?
