I used the rocker prior to baby delivery when I was up in the middle of the night due to heartburn and loved it! I had a 1st degree tear repair so sitting can be very uncomfortable and down right painful when the rx mortin wears off, however even then the rocker is firm enough for support but soft enough to feel comfortable. I'm 4'9" so I fit in the chair easily and my 6"3' friend also can sit comfortably in it with a little one. 💖 I would definitely recommend this rocker as a must have for any parent to be👍
My grandparents had a really nice sleeper sofa so I grew up knowing good quality ones existed. I also know people who their sleeper sofa was their actual bed. I bought a condo and the people left behind a sleeper sofa. There are many options with how they fold now, technology is much better. I currently have a 15 yr old Tylosand, still comfy. I hope to get a chair model. It is a great piece of furniture, informative video. Do you have a video on pillow top mattresses?

I have one from Ethan Allen but I never use it. Too much work to put it together and remove all the cushions plus I have a blanket layer to protect the sofa from the dogs. When guests come I always use an air mattress - super quick. PS: my sleeper sofa is not comfortable and it was expensive.
Sorry to hear that the Ethan Allen sofa was not up to your expectations. Air mattresses are a great alternative to sleeper sofas, a good way to house guests short term, and very easy to set up. While sofa beds are a great way to hide a guest bed when you are not using it, a sofa bed mattress is not going to compete with a standard mattress for long term use. Thank you for the comment!
I have a sleeper sofa, which has a back part that goes down, so the sitting part and back rest forms the “mattress.” It feels as if there’s a steel bar between the two sections, and what feels like wood to the left and right of the steel bar. (The “wood” actually is leather without cushioning). So, I’ve been sleeping on the sofabed in the sofabed position. My “mattress” is 19 inches wide. The sofabed didn’t cost much. Since I’ve moved to a larger apartment, I’m finally going to get a real bed!
Wow that sounds uncomfortable! Congratulations on getting a bed! The right mattress and bedroom setup can do wonders for your sleep. We have some great videos on mattress types that might help you narrow down your search if you haven’t found the perfect bed yet.

Actually I meant to write that I’ve been sleeping on the sofabed in the sofa position, with the back rest up... so my “mattress” is 19 inches wide. Since the “mattress” is so narrow, I never turn over while I sleep. I put the back rest down once, and I only lasted a few minutes trying to sleep on the metal bar. Thanks for the tips about buying a bed, but I’ve already decided which bed I’m going to buy at a nearby store. Hopefully I’ll assemble it tomorrow!

Nice try, but no amount of money is going to get you a comfortable sofa bed. If you need one, buy it but be resigned to that. If you only need to sleep one person, sleeping on the sofa itself (not pulling it out into bed form) will make for a better night.
My Grandma had a sofa bed from the 80's that was super comfortable. Heck every time I spent the night, I wanted to sleep on the sofa bed since it was so comfortable. Nice try yourself, but there is such a thing as a comfortable one. Her couch was made by Lazy Boy, and it was one of the best Sofa Bed's to ever come out.
My brother and his wife and granddaughter showed up on my doorstep unexpectedly after a hurricane . I had a sofa bed but it was so uncomfortable . We put the granddaughter to on the floor with lots of comforters and padding and she was very comfortable . Young people can sleep on the floor but is older folks cannot . I need a good sofa sleeper .
